    I followed the directions given above, with the oven cleaner, and I actually used steel wool to get the stuff off and it didn't scratch the plastic. I didn't take as much time and use as much patience as I should have, so my finished result is better about 5 feet away. I did, however, contrast the bezels with black.

    Overall, I'm happy with the result. Certainly better than the original cover with scratches when I bought the car. I might pop it off and do it again over the winter, because I have a little bit of OCD and can do it better.

    Drying ! I'll be reinstalling next week. It looks great off the car. My dash always was a little darker than the interior. (I started this thread spring 2014.)
