I was quoted over $5k for a full body wrap locally. Thought that was crazy myself.

I was actually quoted 3k for full body by the shop that did my wrap. Was still out of my range but if that seems reasonable to anyone who's in North Texas I can PM you their contact info.

I was wondering about the hood seam as well & $?

Yes PLEASE let me know where they seamed the hood.

I only did the front 1/3 of my hood since any seaming would be very obvious on Shadow blue.

Xpel only comes in a 60" film width I believe, so the hood would need to be in 3 pieces.

I paid about $1500 for the front bumper cover (complete in one piece); headlight films; front 1/3 of hood; complete lower rocker panels wrapping into the door jamb (from SRT/GTS fender badge area- down the rocker in one piece); and some spats behind the rear tires.

The one thing I would be concerned about is the cutting they do directly on the car. You can almost guarantee that there are slice marks in some spots where they have to cut the shape. Of course you will never see it because you will not have it removed for years to come. Out of sight out of mind, but, their there. Cuts in my paint would bother me, but, the trade off may soften the blow.
It is what it is, if you want it, you have to expect it I guess.

no cuts on the car period when you have a veteran do this.... none.... seamed the hood right up the middle, my car is black and cannot see the seam, same way on the roof, but not up the middle, was seamed on the side part

Lee, is that Phil's TA getting the wrap?

Where are the seams on the hood? My hood wrap is going be redone soon and I'm trying to decide where/how the seams should be.

I wouldn't be so sure. What do you consider a veteran? I watched someone that cuts film on cars for a living and has done it for 8-10 years and he cut the car on almost every section he did while I was watching. Like someone else said you don't see it until the film is removed. Would not be a good thing to see on your own viper. I am not saying it is not possible but I would never let anyone cut on my car....
