I was happy with these numbers, not bad for a 13 yr old Viper with just a K&N intake, some exhaust work and 50K miles on it.![]()

Hell ya, lay the smack down on a stock C7 right? And look better doing it.
Demonstrates just how ahead of the curve the Gen 2 Vipers were![]()
very strong numbers, almost not believable
THE IGNORE FEATURE WORKS, TRY IT...
Yeah wow - better than stock after 13 years!
Very nice numbers. What mods do you have done?
K&N Intake, B&B Exhaust, cats are gone. Car was like that when I bought it, all I've changed under the hood were the plugs and wires.

Is that full exhaust including headers? It was my understanding that headers on the 2000-02 gives minimal gains on a pretty much stock car.
Intake, exhaust, and Quality Wires do a lot for the Viper. 467RWHP. Your numbers look pretty good, and i've seen quite a few vipers with similar mods around the same area. Something about those cream puffs too![]()
Must have been a Mustang dyno? They usually give hp numbers that are comparable to bhp. Gen 2s usually get 420whp on dynojet machines .... 460hp formy friends 2001 ACR with only Borla exh. K&Ns with smooth tubes stock on ACRs).
Sorry, many others would disagree….
DynoJet numbers are typically higher than Mustang Dynamometers.
Bone stock Gen 2's usually dyno between 390 and 410rwhp. Some are less… there's the odd freak too.
Say you were getting 410 as a base-line and then made a few simple mods
(Letting her breath by doing intake, smooth tubes, exhaust, and punting the cats… ) you can make it.
This is accurate. But the thing about Mustang dynos is they are so tunable and load adjustable the numbers can vary wildly. I had my Camaro dynotuned on a Mustang dyno. It's about 520 at the engine and put down 413 at the wheels on a Mustang dyno. Shop owner said it would be around 460rwhp on any Dynojet.
Great numbers...But I think the engine had a few mods when you bought it.....did alot of research on the gen 2's on the dynos and they average about 410 rwhp with the K&N and smooth tubes...which is about 15% less than the 450 crank HP the Gen 2's are advertised with......Look at my signature,it was about normal with 405 RWHP before mods...Ive got a list somewhere of about 100 different stock viper dyno results I'll post ,its pretty interesting.
yeah those #s are no way stock. Most stock gen 2s are 390-410 range. (15% loss nets you 477hp) which is more in the range of the 450 the car was rated at.
I had mine dyno'd the other day, made 435hp and 471ftlbs. headers, no cats, exhaust and smooth tubes.
if yours made 467, take 15% for drivetrain loss thats 537hp.. no way its stock.. and thats a pleasant surprise!
