    How to clean hood liners?

    Hi everybody,

My engine bay looks decent after cleaning. However, the only things not matching up with this look are the hood liners. Any tips on cleaning them so that they look like fresh from the factory? I am willing to take them off for this...

    Thanks!

I am in the process of detailing a 97 GTS and I am using simple green and a microfiber towel.

Would you use high heat paint to paint the hood liner ?

Is 200 degrees good enough or is using a high temp paint like caliper paint or engine paint a better bet as they have a 500 degree limit?

I guess seeing as it has stayed in tact for 4 years,,,200 degrees works fine but just wondering as it would seem that the upper side of the hood would get a lot hotter than 200 no

AHH!! just noticed your working with F while us up here Indians are working with Celsius

I'm not a paint expert, but as I stated...mine is still good after 4 years. You could give the high temp caliper paint a try...I can't think of any negatives for using it.
