    Thoughts? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XTqQpmgjA00

At times it appears to have a slightly different exhaust note but not sure. Styling looks same as 13 & 14. ACR coming? Vert? Neither?

Who thinks a major announcement is coming at the Viper event in MI this summer?

PS this guy is a good driver.

    Ok woah, hold your horses.

    First, repost. Thanks.

Second, no differences except additional airbags. That's about it. It's more or less a mule car and from my understanding the 4th Stryker Green car produced. It was fun to drive.

My bad on the repost. Difficult to believe that next month already will make one year of Gen V ownership for me. Guessing I'm just looking forward to an upgrade.

So was this a 2014 or 15 as the video states? I expect the 15 to come out with an HP bump due to the new ECU.

The new ECU is off road only so unlikely I would say.

I bet the tune they put into the factory ECU won't be offroad though.

As I mentioned in another thread, if it is in any way possible for SRT to come out in 2015 with an on-road ECU reflash for more power which could be applied to all Gen Vs under warranty, then this would be huge for sales and the rep of the Gen V. The bump does not need to be huge. 20-40hp would do the trick. Since the motor is N/A this may be tough. We will see... .

I agree. Did they say there is a new ECU that is street legal for 2015?

So far just an off road race ECU.

Re certification for a tune change is big money that may not be available, I don't see how they could do this right now, power will probably be unchanged till more cars are moving at the rate they hoped from day one. The only way we are going to see evolution is if cars are being bought, I just wish I had the money to help the cause...

Where's the "it will blow you away" part?? What changes are coming?

They also need to work on sound. Maybe a more aggressive exhaust will not only make it sound better but will also add some HP too, killing two birds with one stone.

There is very little to no horsepower available in the exhaust system downstream of the cats. No aftermarket solution has yielded notable results, even on the Gen IV.

I'm still waiting for news of a new ACR... On the exhaust note, I wonder how tough it would be to ditch the side exhaust and do a rear exhaust again. I got reminded of how good the Gen II cars sounded the other day when a GTS blew past me. Sounded just awesome. The side exhaust just doesn't do it for me - not sure what it is, but unless the car is really wound up, it just doesn't sound right.

Belanger experimented with this concept and the routing was a nightmare, it also cost about 25-30hp. He did all this when Devin was trying to use the Viper chassis to build their cars. Agreed though the older cars sounded bad ass.

On my wish list is also a 72 degree even firing V-10. I know people will think it is sacrilege, but the exhaust note from an even-firing engine with side exhaust is sweet. I know it's impossible because of packaging constraints (72 degree engine would be a couple inches taller), but it sure would be cool.

Instead maybe us 13/14 owners can dream of an off-road PCM that only costs a few hundred, just enough to cover the physical electronics piece so they're not losing money on them. One can dream right?

Rear would sound better but burning my leg on the side one adds to the experience . Plus you probably save a little bit of weight by doing side pipes as opposed to rear. Plus one on ACR. I do think all unsold cars are going to move this season with the better weather. They should move 50 cars per month.

Heard sales picked up this month...is there any source that accurately tracks Viper sales?

Yes sales have picked up, I know Tomball has been moving more cars. I think with the factory shutting down, and the year end deals it got a lot of people off the fence. Happy to see them selling, I know of atleast 4 Gen V's that sold to Houston members just in the last 2 weeks.

That is not too bad for a car like this. May is traditionally better than April, so we may see even better numbers at the end of this month.
