    VOA Homecoming/ National Viper Event

Is anyone planning on going to the NVE? If so how many of you are planning on bringing your Viper? For those of you who are bringing your Viper: are you driving it there, using a personal trailer, or shipping it?

I have been trying to work things out so I can make it. I'd just drive the 9 hours. I don't think meeting in Dayton makes sense for me. Maybe the northeast should have our own caravan.

I'm driving there. There are about 6 NY/CT members right now that are committed to driving to NVE.

Baz UK is flying in and we are driving out. Planning on meeting everyone in Dayton, OH Friday [7/18th] AM, then do the drive North.

I'm guessing the Dayton caravan could pick up some more cars at Toledo on the way to Detroit?

Herrs and I are planning on driving to Ohio to hook up from Houston. Will have to see who else will be interested.

I'm firming up my plans this week (laying out the family vacation schedule), so far it looks like I would be driving out there.

Considering there appears to be many of us who plan on driving, who would be interested in meeting somewhere and having our own caravan going there where we can pick up others along the way? I think it would make the time go by faster driving with a group. Is everyone planning on taking I-90 through NY or is there an alternative route?

If you are going to Detroit from Albany go I88W to I86W to I90W
then RT2 to Toledo that way no tolls.

There will certainly be a caravan coming from the Northeast. Expect the NE, NJ and PA gang to join in on the fun.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VIPER ON I86!!!! The stretch of road between Olean and Jamestown is completely destroyed. I used to live in that area and people blow tires/smash suspension all the time on the road. It has a large part to do with the Indians in the area and NYS is punishing them by not repairing the stretch of road thus hurting their casino business.

On rt 86 you have two choices between Allegany and Salamanca use
rt 417 to 219 then back on 86 or just slow down.

Skeeter, I personally don't mind paying for tolls as long as they take E-Z Pass lol. Has anyone decided on what the tentative route is and where we're all meeting up?

I was looking at coming across 80 to 90. Then join the group in Toledo if possible. Could be a great photo op. Dbow, where you planning on going to Dayton?

I signed up at 3:00 on the dot and by the time I got done there were only 155 seats left. I'm glad the car show I was at earlier ended early! Anyways, who else is registered?

Check this thread. It looks like folks were able to reserve hotel rooms at standard rates, then call and be given the club rate. Give it a try. http://driveviper.com/forums/threads...ighlight=hotel

Got a room at the Marriott , no sweat, today. Likely trailer the " Hardcore ACR" up there , as otherwise Jorgensen and I would have to scream at each other for 11 hours just to talk , ha,ha.
