Thread: Door rattle

    Door rattle

My passenger side door has a rattle in it when hitting bumps and closing the door. So I decided that I was going to fix it! Pulled the door apart and there the problem was.... The felt liner for the track for the glass had feel out. Stuck it back into the track and the rattle was gone. After a few drives the rattle is back. I am assuming that the liner fell out again. Anyone have this problem before? How did you get it to stay in the track? Glue?

Without having seen it... I'd say a simple adhesive. I'd go with a dab of silicone if you know for certain it will not bleed out over to the felt side.

Would not need much at all. The silicone will also take the vibration without falling out. Did this in a vintage Charger a long time ago. Worked like a charm.

If it is the felt itself.... ie... cloth.... try some double face tape. You'd have to fine something very thin, but that should work.
