Finally saw the new corvette on a highway.

    I do love corvettes.

    Traded a c6 for a 392 Challenger.

Anyways, New corvette driving same highway as me going home from work on Friday. when it was behind me, it looked pretty darn good.

once it passed me, the rear view was a big let down. I have seen tons of pictures of the new vette so I was surprised that I had that much of a reaction.

I like the look of my old C6 better than the new C7.

Not sure if that will change over time.

I saw 6 of them today in Houston, literally 6 of them. The newness has already worn off, they look narrow and weak. The Z06 should remedy some of that.

I only saw one today around here, but usually on nice days there will be 2 or 3 around town that I pass. I still think they look mean coming at you on the road from a distance but once they are up close they lose their luster IMO.

When you see the back side going down the highway, you don't associate it with a vette.

at least the c5 and c6 rear said corvette. the c7 says I may be a Camaro or a Corvette from the rear.

Already seen four on the road. Back end in rear view mirror as it passed in opposite direction on the highway was hideous on yellow. The others were red and I don't remember them looking as bad. The problem with the Z06 is it so closely resembles the base model.

I see so many Vettes they all look the same to me. In fact, I'd say I notice the Prius more than I do Vettes these days. There's just too many of them and they all look similar.

I cant stand the new vette. It tries too hard to be a f12/gtr why haven't they done a retro version of itself too much change you don't know it is a vette anymore. The 911 looks good because it hasn't changed much over the last 50 years. It looks like a new transformers car (and the Michael Bay raping of the franchise not the original). It already looks old I mean I really liked the c6 and I am not a vette person.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Corvette sales speak well for the brand.

Never liked the back end of the Vette anyway so I'm sure this one couldn't be much worse. The old look was just like a door wedge.

I haven't seen a single one driving around but I went to a car cruise on Saturday and there were 7 of them. Seven. I thought for a minute I was at a Chevy dealership. They were all automatics, shocker. I guess they just drive them to car cruises to keep the miles down and, you know, make sure they retain their unique low production collector car status.

I saw one at the track last week. Guy was fast in the morning, had sport cups on it. Sticky car, but by the end of the day my buddy was passing him with his 14' mustang on street tires.

No not a 500 either. A track version though.

Car looked good, nice inside. Owner loved it, but I think he was just playing with it until the z07 hit his driveway.

The front is a Ferrari spin-off but a damn good one. I do see a little of the C1 in the grill. Overall it’s not a bad design when going the opposite direction on the highway. Only two cars should have round tale lights in the rear and the other one is Ferrari. The rounds will probably appear mid cycle.

There were about 3 or 4 or 5 C7's at our Cars and Coffee yesterday including an invisible blue C7 parked next to an orange Viper TA... hehe

I like them a lot but I agree, I'm not a big fan of the rear end. Neither the tail lights or the quad exhaust does it for me.

Well the quads are here to stay they have been there since the c4. The only hope I can see is because this is a radical departure a la c3 to c4 transition, is a long life cycle. If they can produce it for 10 years and soften it like they did to the c4 like the c7.2 then it might wear on my like the c4 does. I just don't see that happening as they are gonna make a bunch of them and 70 percent are gonna be auto convertibles. But they will screw that up when people are mad that their 4 year old vette looks old as crap. Then they will do some retro model that will just barely miss the mark like the fifth gen Camaro did. (wonder why mustang is still more bought).

Orange TA was me....They had a little shit dog in that C7
The C7 does not do it for me (interior isn't bad though), had 2 C6's prior to the TA

I saw a C7 yesterday. Both driver and passenger broke their neck checking out the Viper heading the other direction

I saw my first one yesterday. Fortunately, I was in the viper, so instead of the owner thinking "Geez, another white trash slob staring at my car" he was probably thinking "Geez, another white trash slob staring at my car, but at least he's got a Viper."

I haven't crossed paths with one yet while I'm in the viper but it will be interesting to see if they do the straight-ahead "do not look at the viper, DO NOT look at the viper" (and then quick eye flick) look that I get from the C6 guys lol.
