    Austin- that's one sexy render!

Big Miata- it is America's exotic! Coming from a Lamborghini I notice that the snake gets similar reactions & attention as the bull did.

Had the car out today for some spirited runs and a sunset cruise. It really is a unique machine.

Do one without the ta package for people who are attempting (difficultly) to shed their fast and the furious supra wing loving past.

I'd like to see what Austin can do with an RT/10 style targa roof and sport bar with the Gen V.

I'd bet you'll see the Vert shortly. 2/3 of Viper sold have been Verts, it is what people want.
Maybe so but since Verts were the only thing offered from '03-'05 it kind of skews those numbers. I personally prefer the coupe and am looking to change.

A lot of older guys simple can not contort to get in the coupe. My dad (65) has a bad back and struggled to get in my GEN III Coupe. He had zero issues getting in and out of my current 96' RT/10.

The vert will really outsell the coupe, not saying it is better as coupe owners tend to be more die hard enthusiasts, racers, etc. Always has! For sales success, the vert is required. Most new owners in the GEN V Viper economic bracket are older and health issues are a reality. No one drives their car that they cringe getting in and out of. A Vert launch would be a totally different situation now for inventory as it would have been low, low, low, but I understand the return to racing coupe requirement.

Lack of non-standard tranny will hurt some sales as some older drivers simply have leg, hip, knee issues. Then again if SRT is okay with losing those sales to preserve Viper soul, then so be it. It is what it is.

    I like that deep blue...

Great work Austin! That blue and the silver and black go perfect together. Love the rear spoiler as well. Damn that is one classy looking car.

Sexy but everyone knows that Red Vipers are the fastest 8-p

The simplest thing is what sets it off..to me...its the grey, anondized side exhaust trim instead of the black trim they come with that I think makes it look that much more better. that blue is certainly different as well. Very well thought up. now if you can just put a real version together......

You're right and that's saying a lot. At this price point there's the Lotus Evora, Porsche 991, GT-R, new Z06. Those are all great rides in their own right but the Viper wins in performance, exclusivity, styling, and overall driving experience. People are afraid of a stick and a clutch which is funny because I wanted it for the very reason of having a more challenging car to drive. I think moving forward from here a dual clutch transmission might feel a bit boring and that's the only way you can order a Ferrari or a Lamborghini now. Glad Corvette kept the stick as an option.

True but the majority of people to buy new are more experienced. The odds are greater for an issue to get in any out with that demo-graph of potential owners. I even gad trouble at times.

Getting in isn't am issue, you simply fall in

Getting out is the hard part!

It's tight but I've noticed the side pipe/ sill doesn't burn your leg as much once she's broken in for some reason.

Watched that video in one of the threads here Viper vs Lambo LP570 I believe it was and with the Lambo paddle shifting and the Viper manually shifting, the Viper blew his doors off and shifted much faster than the Lambo. Hey, if you know how to drive and shift well, its a no brainer to keep the manual shifting alive. Going DCT will get you comments that most car guys are saying about the DCT,,,too boring, not a drivers car, and very expensive to fix. The trade off of learning to drive and shift well over getting the car to do it for you for the cons, is much greater in my opinion.

Yeah that e gear system is scary. There's no DIY only dealer and no Vaseline. The moment my extended warranty ran on my Gallardo, I sold it.

SRT will probably just opt to put a sunroof in. LOL.

And thanks for the compliments, everyone. Still working on a targa version.

Yap, no interest in owning anything like that. Kudos to SRT for KISS with the solid 6 speed that works!

On a related note, I can't wait for homecoming this July! I hope SRT shares some exciting news about the future!
