My wife's car is a 2 liter solstice. The car does 305 rwhp, mostly because of the HP Tuners software.

It costs the same and you'll always get more out of a custom tune then you will a canned tune. Unfortunately the Mopar ECU will be a paper weight the minute HP Tuners software hits the market. Guys will be able to do heads, TT Systems, Superchargers, and nitrous. Still wont be able to do that with a locked Mopar ECU.

I do wish the best to HPT though I know that do great things and have the highest respect from many people in the Dodge world that know them personally.

The cost difference for most will be significant to it looks like.

We got 320rwhp out of my buddy's Sol. Rocket powered roller skate. One of the most underrated cars GM ever built.

As of last night, they are still pending legal approval :-( I check on it daily, but very frustrated on all the red tape, I have a feeling now that it is potentially going to sell well from the responces someone else probably wants skin in the game...

What a pain in the ass. Just avoid the "Legal approval" and sell them as offroad use only. SRT is losing my interest, as many others. Might be time to go back to GM, where they actually support enthusiasts and racers.

Ha. I am eying a 12C. Unsure where the Viper is going and lack luster enthusiasm from the manufacture isn't helping anyone.

Couldn't agree more... The lack of performance support is a mystery....

Love me some 12C, but I bet the same non-support exists with that platform, too. SRT/Dodge just continues to kick the racers in the nuts, and they wonder why they can't sell cars. $75K Camaro just came out, and people are lining up to buy them. Dodge just doesn't understand the performance car market.

From what I understand they are very tunable - ecu, intake, exhaust. I doubt you'll see the top end power like a Gen 3 since they are already turbo'd, but you can certainly get gains out of them.

From $150's-$180's now - they are a steal.

Shame Dodge is just taking forever to get there. They wanted to clear out that inventory it should have been released the day the plant closed.

The PCM for the GENIV's was "Off road use only" and the one for the GEN V is suppose to be the same.

It should have been released a year ago when the Gen V launched.

Then we need illegal approval. Sell them, and ask for forgiveness. Whoever is taking this long to answer a simple approval question, must be a schmuck. This simple mod would even help Dodge sell more $100,000+ cars. No-brainer. Need a decision-maker in charge.

I just don't get the impression that this is necessarily Dodge's/Mopar's fault - I'm thinking it is just a sign of how difficult it will be to navigate anything that has to get through the feds/EPA in the future. They know full well how something like this will be used, and they need look no futher than this forum to figure it out. Selling it without approval and asking forgiveness later will likely come with a hefty fine, and I can't think of anyone that would be willing to essentially throw their job away by signing off on that decision.

Someone needs to comp Keith @ HPT a Gen 5 Viper...his personal interest is the only reason we are on the verge of being able to do some serious mods to the Gen 4s.

And yet the GM aftermarket thrives like no other. Seems like they have zero problem supporting racers.
