Good Trivia Tid-Bit there Beer-man! Began in mid 1993!

Anti-reverse solenoid lockout on side of tranny works when 93+ Viper is in motion at > 2mph.....

Any reverse lockout on 1992, or late 1992s?

Based on the info given earlier in this thread...my guess would be...no.

like any other manual trans, pre 93--- syncro keeps it from going into reverse upon moveing the car, so don't worry about it

Something in my '97 trans is screwy, either a sticky solenoid or bent shift fork. Every now and then I'll buzz reverse when aiming for 5th. It does it randomly, it won't do it twice in a row, and I can't make it do it. Even being able to move the shifter that far, it would be nearly impossible to actually get it into reverse while moving forwards, so it's not much of a concern.
