Thread: My New Viper :)

    My New Viper :)

Bit the bullet and purchased a brand new 2014 SRT Viper from Carl Burger in Cali. Got an amazing deal on it. Came down to this one and a left over 2013 GTS that Andy had over at Mountain View. I hear Andy isn't at Mountain View anymore but let me tell you...that guy is professional and a great sales person. I really wanted to purchase from him but ulimately just chose the base SRT instead. I recommend Andy to anyone out there thinking about purchasing. Just wish I knew where he went to.

Oh man, what a great car. I traded-in a 2014 Corvette Stingray with the z51 track package and many bells and whistles. I think a lot of people think I'm retarded but there were a number of reasons I just didn't like the Vette. I have had the new Viper in my garage now for a couple of days and boy am I enjoying it. I am getting such a kick out of it and all my friends and family LOVE it. Yeah, there are quirks and the new Viper isn't for everyone but I think it's a great car and more importantly a great fit for me right now.

Here are some pics. It's mostly base with just upgraded leather. Going to put in a speakers, amps and bass. Looking for any info I can get on speakers but can't find much. Anyone got schematics or reference materials for the speakers, setup in these Vipers? Would really help a lot!

Damn, I like that color combo! Those wheels and stripes with white. Stryking, welcome to the club!

It will be interesting to hear your impressions of the C7 Vs. the Viper after you've logged some miles. Two very different animals. I've spent a little time behind the wheel at the track in the C7. The C7 strikes me as very capable yet isolated. The Viper is raw, in your face, connected to the tarmac. Both are good choices, it's more about the emotion that the car instills in you. The Viper's the one that stirs my soul, hope it's the same experience for you.

    Enjoy!

Thanks! I will definitely do a "review" after 500 miles and i'm able to open the Viper up more. Loving the Viper so far.

Nice! No regrets at all! This thing is a BEAST and a LOT faster than the z51 Stingray.

I rode in a Gen IV that had done the kicker speakers in the doors and for the center sub, it really improved the sound. I could almost hear the music over the roar.
