    Lighting up a 4-post Lift

I'm getting a 4-post lift and was wondering what folks here have done with lighting up the underside of their cars when they are on the lift. I've seen LED strings that are maybe 4 mm thick and easy to string together. They could rest in the channel alongside the runways to light up the underside of the car. Here's an example of what I'm looking at: http://www.autolumination.com/strips.htm

With 6 meters of the 5050 IP65 stuff it would be about the same as two 150W light bulbs.

Any suggestions regarding lighting would be much appreciated, thanks!

1HotV10, interesting product. Seems like it would provide a lot of light. Thanks for suggesting!

Has anyone found decent LED light strings for use in the rolling jack channel found on the side of a lift's runways? I've found the LED light strands but reviews show they are spotty quality (maybe it works, maybe it doesn't). Thanks.

Just bought 120V rope lights from these folks - they provide PLENTY of light. Home Depot and Lowes sell 10 foot lengths too but I would call these folks, they were great with advice.

I use my rolling jack channel....for a rolling jack

I just hung three 2 bulb t-8 housings sideways on the wall.....when the car is in the air they light up the underside nicely

Thanks Joel, I'll check them out.

Dodgestang, I like your setup, but there are to many woodworking tools along the side of my garage for this to be a viable option.
