Interior upgrade thoughts on 2005 Race Yellow Viper

I bought a 2005 Race Yellow Viper last summer. The interior is stock. I want to do some changes, but what can be done seems to be limited based on what I've seen.

Most people that change do something like the Mamba editions using the color of the car as the color added inside. Also, I have seen a lot of cars where the center bezel is made the color of the car. I would like to do something different. Also, I think the yellow might be a little too much everywhere.

Also, many cars have different color interiors than the outside paint... actually most. Why match the outside paint?

I would also like to change the seats.

Again, I like the Mamba edition color on the inside, but what color would look right with Race Yellow??? Maybe red like the Mamba... maybe not. I would probably make the seat inserts the same color, or have some custom seat covers done with diamond stitching like I saw in another thread.

I may buy the parts and keep my stock parts in case I sell someday... not sure.

Please feel free to comment. I appreciate it!!!

Just thinking... I think the Mamba edition red interior would look great. I would have to find the panels though...

Thanks, Steve. I looked at their website and they do amazing work! WOW! I'll give them a call, but I suspect they will be out of my price range since they are so Viper custom focused. I'll find out.

I emailed Ventzano and they sent me a picture of a yellow Viper they did. What do you think???

Gives it a more expensive look. Looks more exotic, in my opinion.

There are certain colours that one has to be careful with and bright yellow certainly qualifies. If you choose yellow try to keep it tame.

How does the tan look in your Gen car? May look different. But it does look good in that RT.

    Jus’ my 2 cents

George, with a Yellow car the only matching interior besides black is tan. I've had a number of red viper coupes and have added a red mamba interior, or had the seat centers trimmed in red cloth. All looked much better

But with yellow, you don't want a yellow interior.

The Venzano pic is nice and they do great work. In the picture they sent it just looks like the did some custom work to the seat bolsters and refinished the centers, and switch out some of the door panel carpet Take a look at my Red/Tan G1 and you'll see.

Good luck, all the tan interior panels look great but for your G3 they need to be made custom

Tony (Venzano's) is the way to go if you can swing it. He can also send you leather samples/swatches for you to compare.

Good evening, George. Per tag, assume the "george" part is accurate in some way.

Add me to the long line of singing the praises for Tony V, but for me, the compliment and appreciation was actually for the OPPOSITE (of) reasons.

Let me explain. After an incredibly inspirational and frank discussion with Tony, he professionally + graciously + actually moved me AWAY from a set of interior upgrades that I had originally been thinking / proposing. Mostly because there would be no long term durability to it, would likely not come out right...even at his INSANELY talented hands and based on his work and results, THAT's saying something.

It was nothing but a kind, seasoned and professional business owner to just say: 'Please come back when you have this budget and / or if you're interested in this outcome for your Gen III,' based on an expansive breadth of work he & his team have always supported this community with. And I value owners or businesses that can deal in truth's with the public, even if it does not enrich them in the moment.

If you do a search here (VOA - Gen III/IV), look for a recent one that says POST YOUR INTERIOR UPGRADES...which was a long and interesting thread, and one that had a lot of inputs and pictures from assorted VOA* members. Many who have built some pretty inspirational interiors themselves.

Aside : There was another fellow person from IL (@Viper4Life)*, that had some incredible diamond pattern work done (black and red). Being from IL myself many-moons-ago (Naperville as that FYI = ), but believe this poster gave more of the info somewhere (else) via another VOA-thread, but I think I found the local, Illinois shop that he had mentioned having had the work done at (please see below).

ASIDE: YOU CAN MAYBE TRY TO MESSAGE HIM DIRECTLY THROUGH HERE TO CONFIRM.

Think the poster said it was $450.00 for the redo of their (x2) seats, but (i) no idea of when it was done, (ii) if rate is still applicable if they were to redo them again or (iii) if this is a good, reputable place - if it's indeed the right one. And know you are clearly WEST of Chicagoland (via Peoria), but this is not a cross-state-lines reality, if this maybe works for you as an alternative and maybe call to check this all out.

Just wanted to put out there, if this helps in your own journey and search, but as everyone is always so kind to remind, share the results / post if you elect to have something done.

I found the thread and saved the picture and messaged the company on the Facebook page you linked. I'll let you know what they say. I've tried messaging and emailing the OP a week ago, but have no heard back.

Thanks for your informative post. Very interesting stuff for sure. I appreciate the input and will post when I decide to do something.

Thanks! Yes, I would think a Navy Blue would probably look real good. It's definitely something to consider.

Here's an interesting idea... white interior always looked the best in the old muscle cars. I wonder if anyone has ever put white in a Viper??? Maybe I will be the first...

Take a note on that blue color on the vett. Looks great with yellow. Just loose red, a bit too much going on. If you want some accents use yellow

Yellow Ferrari with blue interior... I wish the picture showed more of the yellow, but this is all I found. I looked around online and couldn't find a Vette with blue. I'll look some more.

I may have to do this next year or think about some different interior mods as the cost from Venzano's is a little more than I would like to spend right now ($12,750). Maybe it would work next year.

I have some other ideas for now... I will post if I do them. Thanks all!
