I looked into it a couple years ago, didn't like the price of the air bag compared to a Viper one.

These guys did a beautiful custom alcantara/thickness conversion on a buddy's Focus RS steering wheel (he bought an extra and sent it to them). They will build it to your exact specifications (material, thickness, flat bottom, thumb locks, tape stripe, etc.).
