NVE 5 Rooms at the host hotel are dwindling

If you are thinking about attending NVE 5 in Colorado Springs, CO you should sign up soon. Rooms at the host hotel, Cheyenne Mountain Resort, are now limited in number!

This event will be epic. Colorado is one of the most beautiful states in the country and we have many great things planned. How about a drive up America's Mountain - Pikes Peak? A paved road goes to the top of this 14,115 foot mountain and it is the same route that the famed Pikes Peak Hill Climb takes. At the top, believe it or not, is a gift shop where you can get hotdogs, hamburgers, pretzels, their famous donuts, or even a shirt to commemorate the trip. They say you can see 7 states from the top of the mountain.

What about a day at the track? Pikes Peak International Raceway is a short drive from the host hotel and you will have the opportunity to autocross and drive the roval. We also have planned a trip to the Flying W ranch where you will have dinner and see a show. In addition you have the opportunity to drive to the Great Gorge and travel over the Bridge. You can also take a scenic drive to Cripple Creek where you can also test your luck at one of the casinos.

I cannot say enough about how awesome NVE 5 will be so don't miss out, register now at www.nve5colorado.com.

Doesn't Laguna Seca have noise restrictions? Pretty sure my Viper would be too loud.

You should put Thunderhill on the list too!

Laguna has db limits. Most of the time it's 92db. They do have a few 105 db days throughout the year, hopefully you can coordinated one of those with your schedule. Even at 105 db my car won't pass sound even at 1/2 throttle. The sound booth is located around turn 5. I come into turn 4 carrying as much speed as I can and basically maintenance throttle/coast in 4th gear past the booth a bit, then downshift and accelerate up the hill. Kills your overall lap times, but it is such a fun track I don't mind.

The track is expected to be down for awhile with maintenance, but should be open by late Spring I believe.

When signing up for NVE5, I know we had to pick a room. Was there ever a separate confirmation for hotel rooms sent out? Or is the confirmation that I have a room at the host hotel only in the registration email?

The hotel is supposed to send out a confirmation. I got mine. In any event you need to call Veronica Colon, Group Reservations Coordinator and provide her with a credit card to hold your room.

NVE 5 does offer insurance against trip cancellation so you could register and if you have to cancel you might be able to get insurance to cover it.

We need a couple rooms at Cheyenne Mountain Resort for NVE can the club confirm they are still available before I pull the trigger? Ready to go just don't want to sign up and then end up not being able to cancel registration fee and end up staying at the Motel 6 LOL.
