    Rear hatch shocks

I know this had to have been discussed in the past but I cannot find any part numbers anywhere.

Does anyone know the part numbers to replace the two rear hatch shocks? I almost lost my head today while checking something on the battery tender. Thanks.

Look on the body of them and then Google the part number. Worked for me and picked them up from Amazon.

I think there's a different set for the ACRs because of the wing weight. I bought a few spares a while back just to be safe...

It’s the same shock listed for ACR ,they may have charged it to the heavier part for both. My OEM TA struts have no problem holding up the wing.

Well, with the absence of parts for Vipers these days, they may have just decided to use the Dodge Durango lifts for both It's back to the future - in the Gen I and Gen II days, all kinds of parts were interchangeable with Dakotas, Caravans, and even a few from the Neon line. I'm sure they have a ton of parts that will work on the Gen V (and others) that are the same part, but different part numbers, than what the OEM Viper parts were. I've worked at a few companies over the years that had millions of part numbers, but only thousands of parts. What they need to do is cross reference all the things that will still work on our Vipers. End of rant...

There are many company’s that make a gas shock that would work. Determine the length and lifting power. I have order a few different ones for different applications and they are all pretty much the same. Look on Amazon
