    New GTS and Question

First post, just picked up a new 2013 GTS yesterday! Black with Black laguna interior. Car is great so far, love the exhaust note! Just in time for spring in New England! Based on reviews, I am going to get Corsa exhaust put on too as well as tint the windows.

Question for those of you with Gen V. What oil pressure reading are you getting A) when you start up the car, B) during moderate driving? I am surprised when I start mine up, it shows ~85psi which is close to max (of 100 psi) on the gauge and when cruising is ~75 psi (three quarters of the way up the gauge). When idling after driving a bit it does drop down closer to 50-60 psi. Is this normal or too high?? I checked the oil level, it seems to be fine.

    Thanks!

Where in New England are u located? I'm in RI. Exercised mine then washed & waxed and now she's up on a lift so unable to answer the oil pressure question; hopefully others chime in. Congrats & welcome.

    PS: post pics!

I see the same oil pressures in mine. Even after a session at the track I still see 60 to 65 psi on the gauge.

    Sounds right to me...

Thanks everyone. I live outside Boston by the way. So as I said when cruising (I just went out for one) the oil pressure is 75-80, idling down to 50, at start up ~85. Nambo sounds like you don't get readings that high? Viper Girl when you say "sounds right to me" do you mean what I described or Nambo's 60-65?

Those are normal oil pressures for each condition you described.

IMG_0964.jpgGlad to hear oil pressure is normal. Here is a picture of my car I just took. What great lines - it looks great in pictures but way better in person! One other question for you guys - my car does not have the daytime running light strip below the xenon headlights on. That strip turns on when the headlights are on, but if the headlights are off then no "daytime running lights". I can't figure out how to get them on - anyone know? (As a side note, this is my first car without a true owners manual, just the quick guid and DVD. I find it really annoying, hard to figure everything out).

No I see the same thing that you are seeing. Startup in the morning and the gauge is almost pegged, around town in the 75 psi range. I was mainly commenting that it takes a track session to get the pressure to drop to the 60 range for me at least.

Contact SRT and request an owners manual; they will send free of charge.

Hope to see you at an event this season.
