its kind of scary owning a car this new that you cant get parts for. local dealer also mentioned that parts have become a problem.

I don't know the answer to your first question but the answer to the second is "Any part you need is likely on backorder or discontinued."

you can give robbins motors a call, they extended both my viper (which was already out of warranty) and my 4c without an issue, and had the cheapest price I found

I have gotten all my policies from Clay Robbins. I don't have his email, but his contact info is likely here on their site: https://www.robbinscdjrf.com/

He was always very easy to work with. Prices were the best, too.

I think someone else has taken over for Clay for warranty stuff, I spoke to garrett@robbinsmotors.com the second time.
Like Martin said, super easy to work with and everything was done over email/phone in about a day

There are other options out there, and they have their pluses and minuses. A number of insurance companies offer extended warranties, and the prices aren't too bad. I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that Zurich has some good policies for quite a bit less than Max Care. You might want to look at all the details your auto insurance company has buried in their documents. I got full bumper-to-bumper repair coverage for my Rubicon 392 as part of my policy through Geico - and that is about $35 a year. Haven't used it, but when I do I'll post the results...

The pluses to insurance company policies are that you can go to any repair shop you want - and you can go to a repair shop that won't give you grief for having modifications to the car. If you have a shop close by that specializes in Vipers, you can take your car there. The negatives are that you generally need to pay out of pocket, and then get reimbursed. Each company is different - some will need pre-authorization for any repairs, an estimate, and other paperwork. Some will just talk to the repair shop, get the estimate, and then give them a credit card number to bill against.

thanks - will look into the insurance company too.

Replied! Good question about modifications, mods are a bit of a "don't ask don't tell", the warranty company does not know what is not disclosed to them. Now if you're filing a big claim, then they will send a rep to do an in person inspection, and that is when you're going to wish you didn't have two turbos under the hood that weren't there when the car left the factory

Another piece of advice would be to have work done at your dealership or a more discrete service center, "Bob's Big Ass Turbos" is not who we want as the point of contact for warranty work approval on your car. You want to be just another number/claim paid that day, as little attention drawn as possible.

It is my understanding they generally won't check for a tune or be nit-picky about stuff like aftermarket catback. Is that correct?

Correct, and the exhaust system is a non covered by the warranty anyways, so you're not voiding any coverage.
