Gain Settings on Get 1 Remote Amplifiers

I see that both amps in the trunk have gain controls. When playing the stereo, I tend to set the fader partially to the front. Then, when I reach to adjust the volume....I move their fader inadvertently.

Is it possible to adjust the gain on the rear (driver's side) amplifier, so that I can get the sound I want and leave the fader in the middle? Or, advisable?

    Glad for thoughts...thanks.

That's not the purpose of the gain control on the amp.

Thanks....that was what my memory was telling me, too. Way too many years since I was putting sound systems together...
