WARNING Trashed Viper for sale on FB

This car is not as advertised or as not as it appears.

Was involved with a failed purchase of this car. I'm sure i have the vin somewhere, but it's definitely the same car (same exact stickers on the window).

Car was totaled for sure. Roof is peeling off (not the paint, the roof). The engine is touching the passenger side frame, side skirts are glued on, and so on. Its horrific.

At a minimum, the car needs the frame straightened and full respray. Even then I wouldnt go near it.

The Carfax is clean (free link in the listing provided by jmart427). The car does look very rough for the mileage. It it really was "totaled" and the carfax is clean that's a big problem for Carfax.

True. So the car probably wasn't "totaled" by your definition, even though it sounds like it might have been heavily damaged.
If the car was never submitted to auction before being repaired, then I wouldn't expect Carfax to show a problem since not every body shop reports every repair. That is why you can't rely on Carfax as a substitute for an in-person inspection. You can rely on what information it does report. You just can't rely on it to report the information that it doesn't receive.

The difference in the offset of the front wheels is crazy. The passenger side front looks like it's 2 inches inboard as compared to the drivers side. That frame is bent bad.

What are those exhaust devices? Some sort of tunable mufflers? I have never seen those before and they look like they were not just cheaply put together.

If it's not reported, it's not Carfax's fault.

Someone on FB posted they saw the car before it was "repaired". It was crushed on the passenger side. no motor, bunch of issues. Someone put it back together with what seems to be a gen 1 cowl and motor and parts.

Mileage is probably right. I've seen the car in person, some things look right for the mileage, but it's a complete piece of garbage.

I forget the name, they are "tune-able". I looked them up previously. It's not super expensive.

It starts out with a bad respray and gets worse from there.
