New tire option Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02

Looks like the replacement for original extreme contact sport

unlike the extremecontact force, this one actually looks available in Viper sizes. Grip level probably similar to the original one so my guess is slightly worse than PS4S, cheaper, and wears well

30k miles? So I guess it's an all season summer focused type of tire?

a lot of the tires say that on tirerack, even the michelin ps4s, this is just the replacement for the original contis that people love for the street

basically high performance street tires that you can do track days with here and there

tire manufacturers halve the warranty if you have staggered wheels, which vipers have. So its 15k

How long do these tires last with strictly street use?

How do the Conti tires compare to the stock Pirelli? Seems like there isn't much love for the stock tires. I'll be due for new ones by summer.

I have the Continental Extreme Contacts mentioned in the other thread and am quite happy with them. Strictly speaking from a street usage perspective.

I would really consider the Extreme Contact Force if you want a tire with more grip and as a good choice for track use. Folks are saying they don't have the right size, but the 345s for the rear are fine and those that have run them love the fact that the tire hooks up pretty darn well ( tire was essentially designed as an Endurance Track Tire or HPDE Tire ). Perfect choice for those wanting more grip and if you want street only the Continental listed here is fantastic. Less money than the Pee-relleeezzz and both are newer generation designs.

I’ve posted a pretty detailed review on the bottom of page 1 on this thread. None of those opinions have changed after having them for a while now.

the problem with extreme contact force as detailed in this thread
    https://driveviper.com/forums/thread...tion-for-Gen-V

is that nobody seems to be able to get the rear sizes, and people are pretty convinced that not a single pair of rears have ever been made yet. I have been trying to find them with no avail so ended up going with cup 2s which grip better (just cost more)

Thanks for the feedback and thanks for the link Chris. I might give them a try next summer.

They don't exist in 345 and never have. I'd love a set, trust me.

Don't be so sure about not existing, there were tons of tires in short supply or delayed in 2022 ( especially track/autocross tires , just ask someone who attended the SCCA Solo Nationals ). I would check with Jon B. at PartsRack, or Luke Pavlik ( EXT. #4362 ) at TireRack about the supply in 2023, but my sources told me of late they will be around next year. The list of tires that were unobtanium for many track aficianados was too extensive to list and part of the issue was shipping while other concerns were higher demand with more folks out playing. As noted for the street the Continental available now is great, and the list of tires available for the Viper is better than it has been for years. Not a fan of Pee-rellezzz or R888Rs for numerous reasons, but check out Grassroots Motorsports for their listing on tires --- pretty darn good reference point.

I check with Jon B every couple months and put myself on his short list of people that want a set of Forces if they ever materialize. Seems like we've been discussing them for over a year now and there's no evidence a single pair of 345s has ever been sold. I will keep holding out, though.

I'm currently on the ExtremeContact Sport 01 and they are a very good street tire. No complaints from me until they see the track. They tend to get greasy after 2-3 hot laps.
