About 20 years ago I had the scuffed up original fuzzy gray dash removed from my '94 for stripping and repainting. The "new" black paint is bubbling really bad after so many years and it looks terrible. Additionally, the fastening points on the far left and far right edges of the dash panel -- which you can see only when opening the doors -- are cracked and broken to the point that the fastening screws aren't gripping anything at all.
So....I ordered a new dash panel and await it's arrival.
My question for the resident experts -- while I have the dash out, are there any other preventative things I can take care of? Interior bulbs? Blower motor? None of these are currently broken in my snake, but everything behind the instrument panel is 28 years/129K miles old, so I want to pre-emptively address anything I can while I have the dash panel out.
Any advice appreciated!
