Want a Viper No Beed to Bring A Trailer

    Sorry about the typo

This really is very difficult, vipers have been a large part of my life since 2000. Recently I have not used the car the way it should be used, there are multiple reasons, therefore, I have made a decision to sell the viper and associated materials.

I will post the car on the sire, but, I also would like to solicit input on what other options I have. Some pictures and description will follow, the car has many options and additions, however, it looks like an unadultered OEM edition.

A simple list of the sales items are as follows:

    2013 Viper SRT with Prefix H/C & 9L
24ft like new viper set-up car hauler (no matter how low the car is, it will not scrap when entering)
    Autocross wheels and tires (sidewinders)
Drag wheels and tires (sidewinder look a likes)
    All take-off parts
    Viper specific tools

    Here is the car

    2013 Gen5 Viper SRT Track Pack with Prefix: Heads/Cam/9L - Red/Black (15,000 miles)

    Factory Options:
    Red Leather
    Track Pack
    Back Up camera

    Engine
Prefix Heads/Cam & 9L (2000 mile on Prefix build) (engine dyno- approx 780hp)
Royal Purple HPS has been used since day one and changed every 1000 miles.
NthMoto triple carbon clutch (less than 1000 miles)
    Under-drive pully
Insulated air box –runs approx. ten degrees cooler than OEM, in addition, temp rise is far slower
Engine compartment components are insulated from header heat
    ARH Headers/no cats/Corsa (3” all the way)
    Fuel pump upgrade
    Innovate wideband with logging
    Shift light
    Prefix carbon fiber engine covers
    Upgraded silicon spark plug wires
DSE billet non-venting catch can passenger side
Catch can for drivers’ side valve cover
DSE Lithium battery and charger (conventional AGM battery also)
    Logger
    Red engine cross brace
    Short shifter
    Accusump

    Driveline

2.66 first gear cluster (shorter) (This fixes the long OEM gear set and also helps with drivability)
Close ratio 5th (shorter/.8) (this allows productive use of 5th gear on a high-speed track or ½ mile events
Drive shaft speed sensor with input to logger.
DSE rear end Diff housing jack point

    Body/Chassis
MCS shocks (ride height can be adjusted) (billet MCS wrenches for height adjustment included)
    Ride height lowered
    TA stabilizer bar
    Rear black fascia
    Fuel door black powder coat
PPF – original replaced in 2021
Tow hooks front/rear (front is black billet aluminum)
Black viper OEM badges added to the front panels which are to the rear of the front wheel wells
    Rear diffuser

    Take-off parts available
    OEM headers
    OEM cats
    OEM Mufflers
OEM shocks (brand new) The MCS shocks were installed by Woodhouse before I picked up the car.
    OEM cam/valve train
    OEM stabilizer bar
    OEM pulley
    OEM shifter
    OEM spark plug wire set

    Wheels/tires
Daily driver – sidewinders with Toyo
    Autocross – sidewinders with A7
Drag – MT Front runners and MT drag radials (new)
Color matching Stryker logo center caps (one set installed and one set never used)
All wheel/tires have been road force balanced

    Miscellaneous
    5-point harnesses
Stainless fire extinguisher mounted in billet quick release mount (partially under passenger seat).
OEM car cover with storage bag – like new
Witech scan tool (same tool a dealer tech will use). This can be used to log and perform system resets and trouble shooting.
Sound deadening material added to firewall and trunk area
OEM clutch pilot shaft tool (for clutch install)
Leather Bound (new) Maurice Liang, “The Super car Returns”
HPT tool and license, cannot be used on this car, the H/C PCM is a custom tune by Prefix
    Custom Viper specific floormats
    DSE front/rear stone guards

    General Comment

One of the best sounding vipers to be heard
It is loud however, by simply adding cats the sound can be reduced
With the 9L and 2,66 cluster gear, roll (1st, 2nd & 3rd) acceleration is unbelievable. My guess is in a roll race with a stock viper, this car would have ten lengths on the stock car before hitting 4th gear.
With the numerically low 6th gear (.5), the car cruises at 75 mph/1500 rpm.
All H/C vipers have a minor drivability concern, the numerically high gear set fixes most of the issue.
The car has never been left out in the elements and was winter stored at home in a heated garage.

    24 Ft ATC Aluminum Trailer
    7 ft Ceiling
    Electric winch
Integral extended/hinged ramp for loading low cars
    LED interior/exterior lights
    Built-in work bench
    Battery/battery charger
Drivers side door allows full opening of vehicle door
    Passenger side entry doorl
    Electric hitch jack
Tie down straps set up for viper
Trailer is set up at 650 lb tongue weight with viper loading
    Disk brakes
    Storage cover
With car loaded, there is room for a complete set of wheel/tires

Jack beautiful car. Unfortunately you’ll never get what you paid in mods back. Just realize the car will sell differently than the trailer. The market has slowed down from 10 months ago. I’m sure there’s a unicorn who will want both, but a unicorn.

Do I understand you don’t want to put it on a bring a trailer? That’s the best place to get top dollar.

Doesn't appear at this moment, lots of cars did not meet their reserve lately

Didn’t the track pack cars have the factory aero as well?

Like TA 1.0-style aero? Not that I recall. I don't remember who said it but apparently the track pack was dropped sometime after early 2014 (perhaps after the launch of the TA 1.0, which came after the earliest track pack cars).

The track pack was just the better brake rotors and sidewinder 2 wheels.

Jack, I always enjoyed your input and wish you would have solved the AIT issue. You came close. Keep the car. Drive it once it a while. Sell the trailer. I don't drive mine enough but every time I do, this super-car reminds me how lucky we are to own one.

unless health or financial related (or both) you might regret letting it go.. you've seen loads of folks unload the Viper they had only to pay dearly for another one a short time later.. what are you panning on replcing it with? Lotus?

    Also, Price?

This. Jack has been helpful to all of us through the years. I'd buy this car without hesitation, I'm sure it's well sorted.

My car is a 2015 and it has the track pack and the TA1.0 aero. I'm pretty sure a track pack doesn't come with the aero.

    Good luck.

The main problem is the new boat we bought and it is not the financial part, the boat has become all consuming for the last five years. The second big issue is, this car deserves more seat time, it should not be sitting.

Good question, the process has just started, I have to do a bit more research. I went on ClassicCars.com. there were approx 100 vipers, of that number 5-6 were a G5. There was a calvo car for 225K, the low was 135k, the rest averaged 150K

The other issue is, my OEM take-off parts, should they be included? There is probably 10K in those parts. I will definitely sell the car and trailer separately. The trailer is mostly aluminum, I believe it is only 1500 lbs dry, you do not need a lot of car to tow the viper in this trailer.

The OEM parts seem to keep the buyers that don't like mods interested but doesn't help the price, if that makes sense

I sent your post to the guy who bought the junky orange TA on ebay, he said he's looking for a car to replace it
