Putting the thread up for Helo Steve and CT gang interested in getting to C&C and May 4th!! I'm in!

"Caffeine & Carburetors is a gathering of automotive enthusiasts. We meet at Zumbach’s Gourmet Coffee in New Canaan, CT about 6 times year to enjoy our rides and share them with like-minded gear heads hiding in and around Connecticut and New York.

We have a tendency to lean toward sports cars, with the occasional Model A or 1920′s Rolls Royce, but our emphasis is on foreign sports cars. We enjoy all vehicles and there are no sponsorships or awards.

Doug Zumbach began hosting these gatherings in 1995. These Sundays start around 8 am to gather and enjoy a cup of coffee followed by a leisurely drive through the countryside.

I'm in. I'll send out an email blast tonight. We may have some competition on Sat, there's an airfield drag event somewhere in NY and I suspect we'll lose some folks to that event. It's not a NY/CT event. I forget what it's called....

I'm coming down the Merritt from Hamden. Be careful on the Merritt, the po-po are out and about. One visited me on the Merritt Sunday morning.

It starts at 8am and parking fills up fast. I will be there by 8am, hang around for a couple of hours. I was thinking about going to Steve's show around 10 or 11 then head home.

If any of you guys want to meet and park together, we can meet in New Canaan at St A,s church or the old town hall parking lot. 7am would be best. The theme of this show is Ferraris on Elm. It would be great to see a turnout of Vipers. Last show there were two.

I reached out to the organizer and they'd love to have more Vipers there. He said to be there by 7:45am but I think 99ACR has the right idea to be there at 7am. It should fill up quickly. I do plan on heading down and can you guys at 7am-ish. I don't have a good track record of driving down the Merrit early in the morning and speeding tickets (allegedly).

From the guy who is no-showing... . I'd get there as early as possible. With 700 cars at the last show, I'd expect a similar amount. They were turning cars away as early as 8am as far as I know.

I'm coming down the Merritt from the Hamden area. I think 99ACR and others are coming from NY. I can meet up with other Vipers along the Merrit somewhere. If not, I will meet at old Town Hall parking lot at 7 in New Canaan.

PLEASE AVOID USING MERRITT EXIT 37 (RT 124). It is imperative that we do NOT impede the ability of parishioners to get to church in a timely fashion. IN ADDITION NO SHOW CARS AT ALL ON CHERRY ST. NEAR THE CHURCH..NO SHOW PARKING IN THE CHURCH LOT.

IF YOU ARE COMING DOWN RT 124 FROM POINTS NORTH ( Main St ) DRIVE ALL THE WAY INTO TOWN AND TAKE A RIGHT ON ELM, RT 123 SOUTH BOUND DRIVERS CONTINUE ALL THE WAY TO RT 106 (East Ave) TAKE A RIGHT AND GO UP TO MAIN.

There are posted signs, plus ample CERT volunteers and New Canaan PD to help.
