I love it when kids are really into the car, because I see my younger self in them. When I was 4 years old I went to my friends house and he had the 1/18 scale model of the original '92 RT/10. It was the only instance in my life where love at first sight actually took place. Ever since then I've been obsessed with these cars. I also remember back in '94 or '95 there was randomly a black RT/10 at my tiny little Christian school. It was mind blowing to see one in person and it was literally the best day of my life up until then. The fact that an expensive, low-volume car showed up at my tiny school in the small town I lived in is an insane lightning-in-a-bottle experience. They would have only built a few thousand Vipers at that time. I never saw that car again, but I'll never forget that day!

I myself am not really a people person per say. Not anti social I just tend to keep to myself most of the time. But I can tell you over the last 15 years of Viper ownership I have always made time to respond to any questions anybody has asked. One of my favorite things to do when asked by someone if they can take a picture of the car. Is to flat out say NO. Then I ask them if they would like me to use their phone to take a picture of them sitting behind the wheel. Sharing these cars with the public is just so much fun.

Here are my most asked questions from people along with my favorite response.

How fast is it? ......... Well it will pass just about anything on the road except a gas station.

What kind of gas mileage do you get? .........It's not miles per gallon.... it's smiles per gallon.

Lastly I can say I have meet a couple of young ladies over the years due to these cars. Trust me when I say I can use all the help I can get in that department. Not that I bought the car for this mind you.

    Just an add benefit.lol

When I first got the car I knew it was fairly uncommon to see one on the road, but I didn't anticipate the attention it would draw. Within the first day of me owning the car I had a truck full of southern guys begging me to do a burnout at a stoplight, a Mustang make a U-turn to pull up next to me trying to race and multiple people hanging out of passenger side windows taking pictures. I do enjoy taking it to C&C because no matter what kind of cars people are into everyone seems to enjoy the Viper. Whenever I see kids looking at it I'll let them sit in it, because I remember being their age and only getting to experience the car in video games.

Yep....people take pictures all the time. I don't mind the attention and answer questions all the time. If I'm at a show, I love it when the little kids want to take pictures in front of the car. If the kid is small enough, let him sit on the front tire (with hood up) and get a photo. I usually tell them, this is the first and probably the last one you'll see. I also chuckle when mom tells her kid, "look at that corvette". Ha ha! People always comment on my car being white. They always say, "I never saw a white Viper before".

When I'm in the Viper people want to chat or they ask to take photos. But I'll never forget when a five year old neighbor boy was gushing over the Viper. I asked if he'd like to sit behind the wheel and he obvioulsy said "YES!!!" When he finally got out he looked up at me and said "That was sweeet!" He's a future car guy for sure. That made my day...

First Viper I ever saw was a green Gen I just outside of Corning, NY heading west from Elmira. I can still see the car coming towards me and around the slight bend.

No lie. I get this a lot too! When I go to car shows, a lot of people assume "Oh, it's a V12?" Um no.

At a car show, I once overheard a guy say to his wife "These come with V12's. He must have taken the V12 out, and put a V10 in it."

It gets worse than this. Not Viper related, but more than once I've heard people refer to an "inline V6".

This happened to us at our Snakes in the Hill event last year in Hocking Hills OH. This little girl waited like 90 mins for all us to come out of the restaurant.

Correct, you wanted 2 fewer cylinders in your car.

A guy and his wife pulled along side of me and asked, " is that an electric car?". I revved the engine and said, " does that sound electric?" I think his wife sh**t her pants

-Coming from Tators on a January night, on 684 in Westchester County, NY, 2 guys catch up to me and pass me. One is hanging out, almost falling out of the passenger side window taking pics while the driver almost hits the guard rail while looking back at me.
-Got a big, huge, angry, blatant flip-off out of the drivers window of an Escalade in my Ferrari.
-The 2008 ACR gets mostly an uncertain, confused look with a delayed thumbs up, but those in the know occasionally lose their mind.

Vipers are definitely attention getters. Can get very annoying at times when you have people running up to the car with cameras. All it takes is a slight slip and then your car gets damaged. Even though it was well intended, it really makes no difference. Very rarely do I pull in and stop somewhere with this car, and if I do, it's never unattended. Even worse with the Ford GT. I literally have had people run up to me in traffic in that car. Anxiety inducing to say the least and take some of the fun out if it.
