    VCC 3 Build Thread

This is going to be a VERY active winter for #3. Last year I added power....this year, aero and various other pieces to make it faster.

I have 0 interest in wheel to wheel racing at this point (if I did that, I would go with more a ST2/3 build), so will be going for the Time Attack style upgrades. Simplify, add lightness, go faster. Goal is to shorten brake zones, increase carrying speeds, getting on power faster, and of course chasing lap times.

First parts are getting ordered today! Pictures and information to come

Excited to see this build unfold! Are you going for Woodhouse-style Aero 0.0?

    Bigger haha

We're gonna max it out for the power : weight combo =. We don't want to give up too much straight-line line speed.

It's one of those things...I enjoy changing things on the car as much as I enjoy driving it. So in the off season, it's super easy to convince myself to make it faster haha

Great position to be in enjoying the best of both worlds. Wrenching and driving...... Thats what grassroots racing is really all about. Going to be fun to see your progress

Some are going to hate it, others are going to love it. I just want it to be fast. Everything can be put back to how it was without major modification.

Looks like 50/50 whether or not the splitter will be done in time. Still going to run this weekend, but will most likely not have the new aero bits. May throw the diffuser on as it won't be that big of a disrupter. The wing, is a no go without the monster splitter.

What started in October is finally getting close to the end. I have an event this coming weekend with a shake down day on Friday, and then again the first weekend in May. Everything will be done by the May event for sure and we're pushing to hit this one as well. After the May event we're going to take it apart and paint it Audi Nardo Gray.

    Here's some teaser photos/videos.

Complete splitter. 92" across, endplates are not on it...one needed to be filed down a little.

Diffuser and wing. The diffuser will be move about 2" forward once it's trimmed for the tires.

    Better than before!

Disclaimer: I have to remove the splitter and diffuser haha

Fairly simple though. It's one man job and each takes about 3 minutes.

It's a pretty slick setup. When it gets complete, I'll post up a video of both going on and off.

No joke. It out down 640/641... but I think I'll want/ need 800/750. Haha

I'll probably get Kevin to build me a destroked V10. I don't want the added headache of boost.

I've found the recent interest in the reduced displacement V10 interesting given that it first came about from the original engine being so heavily restricted in international competition. It wasn't something the teams would have done for peak performance without having been forced that direction.

I'm not 100% set on anything at this point. The one I'm referencing puts down ridiculous power. If I could get the same power out of my engine now...I wouldn't de-stroke it.

Didn't get finished sadly. I'm going to run this weekend with the original aero. Paddles will be fun though!
Endplates for the splitter are done though, and massive!
