    Apple CarPlay with NAVtool Interface

Starting a new thread to catch a few more eyeballs and see if anyone's tried this in the Viper.

This company NAVtool, advertises an interface to add Apple CarPlay, as well as other functionality, to damn near any car with a screen, Gen V Viper included.

Has anyone tried this yet? I'm tempted. It's ~$600, a lot less expensive than a complete system switch-out offered by another company I've seen (~$3,000)

I'd love impressions for someone who's already given this a try. But maybe I'll be the first...

I've seen them... no experience. I would recommend Infotainment.com. They're probably in the $2k ballpark for it, but I've ordered 100s of products from them and never been disappointed.

Problem with Infotainment is that you lose the SRT Performance Pages. They thought they might be able to figure out how to get them back but as far as I know they haven't figured it out yet. I believe on certain years you also lose the Viper icon.

Ah. I haven't heard that. I've only ever used them for Ford's and some Jeeps.

Yeah @ViperGeorge is right. It's a whole different infotainment system that really doesn't know it's in a Viper. Performance pages, Viper specific splash screen, etc. are all gone with the Infotainment solution. As I understand it, the NAVtool solution is more of an extra overlay that supersedes the factory system when desired, but doesn't replace the factory system.
