Anyone insured with Hagerty, Grundy or Chubbs for agreed value on your Viper?

I am getting quotes for agreed value with these three companies as my current insurance company does not have agreed value. Do any of you have one of these companies for you Viper insurance and if so what opinions do you have of them? Have not called Chubb yet but there is a big difference with the yearly quotes I got so far from Grundy over Hagerty, Hagerty being much more expensive for the same coverage over Grundy. Big difference and am curious why. If you are with any of these companies how do you like them and your preference from one over another? Thanks

Grundy here. No complaints so far, but also haven't had any claims. Only strange thing I can think off is I had to pay the whole year at once. The agreed value is nice and they don't have mileage restrictions. You just have to prove you have another vehicle as a DD.

Nice reply and thanks. Yes both companies said payment for one year required in advance. BTW Grundy was cheaper also with NO collision ded. too. Hagerty quoted with a 1000k ded. and still a lot more expensive. Any other inputs greatly appreciated.

I've used Lelend-West for all my Vipers. Agreed value, can pay quarterly if you want, must have a DD. Pretty well same as the others I guess.

We went through a Viper enthusiast and ACR owner (ACR Steve) for our Grundy agreed value policy, and have been very pleased with his knowledge and level of service. Like others no claim yet, but it's nice to have an agreed value policy (be careful, some are called agreed value but aren't).

    Here's a link to Steve's insurance company: http://www.katzinsurance.com/index.aspx

He can also get you agreed value track coverage. Which I'm not sure others will?

When we did the math we could get an agreed value policy and (2) 3 day/track events, for what USAA was charging us for a regular insurance policy.

    Yes there are stipulations:
    All drivers over 25
kept in secure garage when not in use
    must have DD(s)
Use for club events, car shows, and cruising only, can't take it to work
    No mileage restrictions

I think that's about it, we could live with all. Call Steve, good dude and knows his business!

I have Haggerty for my cars. My dad uses Grundy for his cars and had a claim last year. Grundy was really bad to deal with. Sent out some clueless outside adjusters. He had to fight to get it taken care of.

That's who I got also. Haggerty.

No claims, but, piece of mind and lots of reference in the name. They are a good company and great to deal with.

Wow these are all great replies and very helpful. I did do a search on reviews ref. both companies and the vast majority like Hagerty especially with a claim and THAT is what really counts. When I spoke with both companies on the phone, Hagerty spent a lot more time with me asking questions and seemed more dedicated too.

Call classic auto insurance at 800-397-0765. I have all my classic and exotic cars insured by them. They are far cheaper than all the others. Tell them that you belong to the Viper club, etc. The owner has a ford GT and really understands the value of special cars.

This is who I use. I insure my Viper AND my Corvette for less than everyone else quoted me for just the Viper.

Agreed value and less restrictions than the others.

They were offering extremely low ball rates at first and I'll bet you have an older policy.
Their rates are NOT nearly as attractive now.

Theonly reason I went with Haggerty was they are an Allstate affiliate and was cheaper to use them then Allstate, but only on my Classic car. 1968 Coronet R/T. I have MY 13 Charger Daytona and 09 ACR thru Allstate.

    Bruce,
Do you have an agreed value on the ACR thru Allstate? We have all of your autos thru State Farm, but they won't do agreed value on the on ANYTHING?!

I have Hagerty and have no complaints. They are very nice to work with thus far. Used them for my Cuda, Viper and Mustang.

Looks like its down to Haggerty as Chartis and Chubb will only insure IF you have the other cars with them as a pkg deal. Grundy has too many bad reviews on claims even though they are the cheapest.
