    Better mount for Garmin Catalyst

I found this mount for the Garmin Catalyst that attaches to the holly shit handle. It is much better than the windshield mount, firmer and does not impede your vision. I also like the height next to the display as I keep the Uconnect screen engine 2 app to monitor the engine

    Great find! That's awesome!

Where's the link? I'd like to figure out a better way to mount mine.

Also, as far as the Catalyst goes, I learned there's a secret SD slot haha

Thank you! That looks like it can fit around a cage... I'll have to do some peaking around.

I couldn't find a good spot to mount...but you made me want to get mine off the windshield, so I drilled and mounted the hard mount from Garmin.

They make a hard mount cage for it that may work well for your application

I saw that. I've never had mine come off the magnet mount, knock on wood. The first time it does, I'll definitely be ordering the cage mount.

The problem with that mount is it can deformed and even cut into the leather. My mount I make is shaped to match, has foam and uses a ball as well and that assembly should fit on it. I can adjust the ball size to match if it doesn't already. These are old photos, they snap together now instead of using bolts.

    That's pretty slick.

If you talking about mine, just send me a PM. I can make it with a 1" ball. $65 shipped to US with a phone holder or $55 for just the mount.

The new bracket you made me to mount the Garmin is much better than that clamp style I posted above. The bracket is formed to the handle and snaps over it with a foam cushion between the handle and bracket, I couldn’t believe the amount of force it took to open it up to attach it to the handle, I have no worries about it popping off. The Viper logo on the side of it adds a nice touch!
    Thank you
    Dennis

Ram Mounts https://rammount.com/ make a staggering array of very high quality mounts. The key to sizing them is the diameter of the mounting/articulation pivot balls A - E based on load and space considerations. Ram, or a knock-off appears to be what Hawk is using. With braunstein's clamp, that would give maximum design freedom.
