I bought a brand new Sony SD card, loaded it with music, and put it in, but the car says "No SD card". Anyone else have such a problem?

One of three things I can think of.
The card needs to be formatted in the computer first. (In other words, put the card back in the reader, right click on the icon and see if you can format it. Reinstall all the music on the card.)
Or...
The selected songs have that embedded code most downloaded store songs have today.
OR!
The class of the card may have something to do with it. It's a possibility but not likely. Camera's are finicky with SD cards and classes.

Where is the music from? I tunes? I know I tunes can't be played in my Jeep. I use Amazon.
My songs largely are mp3s ripped by me from my CDs. I'll check the formatting, but I would figure if it worked to put the music on, that the card was working. The card is 64GB though, maybe too big to be recognized?

See some discussion elsewhere about fat32 formatting and not working with SDXC cards versus SDHC (not sure what mine is, have to look).

fat32...i guess.
fat32 is limited to ...32gb...but there is tools for going 64gb/re-formatting etc.
If you format NTFS...afterwards:
convert <drive:> /fs:fat32

I though you could also use a flash drive??
Fortunately I have a 32GB SDHC Transcend SD card in my digital camera, just copied all the pics from the 32 to the 64, which is working in my camera and gave me a lot more future photo space, and I expect the 32 will work in the car, given the info I have researched above.
You guys have that many songs??? I used an old 8G SD card w/o any issue and between the radio, xm, and the SD card, I don't think I'll run out of songs to listen to for a LONG time.
I have a large amount of foreign language podcasts in addition to music, it adds up!
