How long will the stock tires last on my ACR?

Just wondering how many miles i can expect to get out of the stock PS cups if the car isnt tracked and just driven normally? Ie no spinning etc and mostly highway driving? The tires have 2800 miles on them now and no track time or drag strip time. Will they last to 7000 or 8000 miles or are they done by 4000 or 5000 miles just from normal driving?

    Thanks guys.

I got 18000 out of mine, but because of an unknown alignment issue, one of the fronts was showing cord on the inside edge.

You got 18000 miles on stock ACR tires?? I didnt think that was possible? I'll be happy if I can get 1/2 that. Or were you talking 18000 miles on stock Viper ( non ACR ) tires? Thanks.

Bought new '09 ACR, kept 3 years and 18,000 miles then traded for '08 Venom Red, no track time , some spirited driving is all.

I got 11,000 miles on the OEM tires on my ACR. They actually had useable/safe tread left but I don't mess around plus the car was four years old.

^ you would be amazed at how much better the car is with anything other than the sport cups on it.... I did make it to about 8k with my original tires but switched to Nitto NT05's and the car is a dream compared to the stock tires. I looped mine around in traffic at 40mph around a small turn with the sport cups and wasn't even doing anything other than driving.... it was 45F outside and cold sport cups suck..... I was amazed at the difference.... I have heard good stories about just about every tire that fits the car other than the sport cups. goodluck.

Replaced my Cups at about 12,500 mi. not because they were totally worn out but because of the rut tracking. Installed new Pilot Super Sports and it changed the car. What a wonderful difference. Now my wife will ride with me without being nervous. Good luck...Mike

I thought Coupes and ACR,s and Verts all came with the same tires. I don't think the ACR got special tires did it. I could be wrong.

Rizzo, since you are not tracking your car and when you go to replace the current cups you will be amazed at how much nicer the Super Sports are over the cups. MUCH quieter on the street, longer lasting, and they really grip the road.

Ya. I wont put the Cups back on. The Super sports will be fine and if I ever do a track day they will be fine for my level of driving skill. Haha
