    Audio System Overhaul

This project started because I wanted to have the interior lined with sound/heat dampening material. I figured I should go ahead and have the stereo system done as well. I'll update with pics as they roll in.

    Subwoofer - JL 10TW3-D4
    Attachment 52007
Door speakers - JL Audio C3-650 convertible (setup as components, tweeters are in the stock dash location)
    Attachment 52005
    Amp - JL Audio XD700/5v2
    Attachment 52006
    Head unit - Alpine ILX-F509
    Attachment 52008

I too lined my car with sound deadening material, and also installed a Focal audio system. One of the best things I've done to the car for sure. Much less exhaust and tire noise and infinitely better sound system!

Focal makes awesome stuff, but I've always had a thing for JL so I stayed loyal lol.

What Focals did you put in the doors?

Where did you put the subwoofer?

    Any pics?

Does that amp clear the seat tracks? Looks like it might be a tight fit...

I don't know, that's a good question. The car is at a shop having the work done, I'll ask and see what the installer says.

Looks like the same one I have but longer (more channels). Mine fit under the seat with plenty of room to spare.

The installer said the JL Amp is only two inches tall so it shouldn't be an issue.

How did it come out? I was thinking about doing this to my 2005, but I am not sure it would be worth it on a convertible...
