Race Yellow Viper Owners I Have a Quick Question

I recently bought a yellow 2005 Viper. How noticeable are color difference in your panels? I realize that panels are separately painted and some differences exist (they did on the silver 2003 I had years ago), but the hood on this one is quite a bit lighter than the surrounding panels so I just thought I would check to see if this was normal or not... the car has 35K miles, but was well cared for. It's a one owner car and he said it was always like that, but he did not want to paint it.

    Thanks for any responses!

Not sure if it's relevant due to different gen but my gen 5 has the best paint job of any vehicle I've ever owned. No color variation at all and no orange peel.

My 2002 was consistent throughout. Now that I've repainted some things myself over the years, I can see variations in what I've done vs. the OEM finish, but for the most part, the original finish was perfectly matched nose to tail.

My 2009 is also very consistent throughout, paint matches perfectly.

Thanks! I has a yellow 2001 RT/10 and it was perfect too.

I need some Gen III and Gen IV people to chime in. Thanks!

Yellow is perfect and no variations between panels.

No problem with our Gen IV yellow/black vert.

Given the above, I will likely paint the hood to match everything else.

    Thanks for the feedback!
