Since I'm more or less sure I'm not getting a Z06/7, I need a fast car for the track. Running in the BRZ all day is awesome, but sometimes, it's fun to bring out the big toys and run with friends. I used to love running the track cars, then the last session to two, I'd take out my C7GS and my buddy would take out his 997.2 GT3RS and we'd just go at it. Since we were neck and neck when I was in the 460hp Grand Sport, I think he's going to be in trouble against Gen 5 Viper with mild aero and professionally calibrated Tractive coilovers, lol. I may have to agree not to use 3rd gear or something, haha.
So you're NOW saying that you might just put the Viper back on track again - after saying some months ago that it wasn't going to be on track any more? I think you're jealous at the other Gen5 guys having so much fun with theirs!

    Haha exactlyyyyy.

@Lawineer, I know a guy selling a few Comp Coupes... sell the BRZ and buy something you won't get tired of tracking.

Haha! It's certainly fun and the power is intoxicating! It's great from time to time. Not going to be a dedicated track car, or event a frequent track car. I'd be surprised if it did more than 3x a year.
Like I said, its just for a quick session type thing. I was expecting to have a nice Z06 under warranty (and have it by now!). But I'm not paying $150k for a Corvette.

Haha, I'm not tired of tracking it at all. It's a phenomenal platform. Getting the most out of a car and improving driving skill is where the "fun" is at a track. The BRZ is better for both those things.
Plus, the operating cost is much lower and if pancake it into a wall, I wouldn't cry for eternity.

I've fallen for this trap before!!!

I actually had plans for the Z06 of immediately swapping out seats for race seats, getting track wheels/tires and maybe even coilovers depending on how good factory suspension was.

So basically, what I'm saying is, I'm falling for this trap again, lol!
