    Z06 Pricing

Z06 pricing is out. Starting at 106k plus shipping. Ranges of trim up to 130k.

In my estimation, that is a pretty large jump from the mid 80's for the last model. With the "flipper" market, the models are looking at the 150k range.

What are the other versions of the Vette going to bring. 200K? 300k?

Here is the released pricing. You should hear the whining on the Corvette Forum from those that thought it would start in the mid-to-high 80s. One good thing is that it may cause some of the dealer "adjusted market value" numbers to snap back to reality. $30-$50K and even higher mark-ups were common. And the waiting lists should get shorter, especially with the economy and interest. I always thought the market value of a 1LZ/Z07/aero car would be around $140K. I would pay that, but not $90K MSRP and a no-value-added $50K mark-up. I guess the only way to accurately compare the Z06 with an ACR is to have one of each....

Also per Trevor Thompkins at GM, Z06 orders will open July 28.

Prediction.....1/2 of the wait list will be gone......Reason? No meat on the bone for flipper crowd. With the above pricing....150k out the door (taxes)....when the previous model was in 80s out the door.

C7 Z06 prices to stay very very firm for next 3 years or so.

It's more than we had all expected. Not the usual spread between the Stingray and Z06 that the Corvette Team told us it would be. It's still a hell of a car and I'm all in on it. Just sold my C8 this week for $15,000 more than I bought it for 2 years ago. The Z07 package is only $8995 but they are requiring that you purchase all this carbon fiber crap to get it, bringing the Z07 package to about 18 grand. If you load it up: 3LZ, Z07 you're around $150,000. Expensive car to flog on the track. I'm ordering a 1LZ with some add ons and expect to be around $120,000. Still alot of car for the money. This one may be a keeper. May be one of the last naturally aspirated, flat Plane Crank, ICE motors. I have zero interest in electric.
I'm first on my dealer's list and expect to have an early car. Ordering begins July 28th. At least we have the info finally.

Congrats on the sale of the C8 Paul. That was a beautiful car and you were very fortunate to get one early. Can’t wait to see the Z06 live and in person when you get it. I think the pricing is pretty damn good for what you are getting. Even at $150K loaded up what’s even going to come close at that price point? Pretty much nothing. Can’t wait to get my hands on one!

Thanks Chris. A little sad to see the car go. I had zero issues and it was a great performer. Not so sad when I consider what is coming. Very excited about the Z06. We'll take it out for a proper flogging when I get it.

    Looking forward to it!

Ordinarily I would feel bad for someone that just got rid of something so nice, but you have plenty of other nice toys in the garage to hold you over until the C8 Z arrives

I wonder how well these cars are going to sell. The Viper's original price point was a major issue with the 5th gen. The ZR1 and Zora (if it gets made) are going to be crazy expensive.

Every single one they build will be sold. In fact, if you weren't on a list at least 3 years ago you can't get one. The whole 5 year run is basically spoken for now.

So $150K with Z07 and carbon fiber wheels etc. These will be $100K over msrp for a couple months, then $50K over for a few more months.
Can't wait to smoke these on track

And you will probably pass them as they are overheated on the side or some other issue.

hehe. I think they will get this one right for the track, that's why they went naturally aspirated.

It is still so much performance for the money, however I feel like it kinda loses a bit of what vettes are about. C7 z06 started about 40% higher than stingray, C8 is 80% higher. I still have my deposit but will have to see reviews before deciding.

side note, I think it's so stupid that they made it so if you want the Z07 package you HAVE to get either a 8k or a 10k aero package, effectively making z07 a min 18k option. A C8 2LT Z06 Z07 will cost you at least 130k whereas same configuration on the c7 would be low 90s in 2019

It's the inflation. I've been reading the manufactures are all going to skyrocket the MSRP's on everything to catch up with the market. Been looking to buy my son a small, new reliable car/suv and everything is $5K over MSRP instead of $5K off. So even $30K cars are $10K more than they would have been 20 years ago, 33% higher. Our lease is coming up on our 2020 G63 and the dealer offered us $230K for it outright, $50K more than we paid for it new 3 years ago. And I just traded in my 720s and the dealer gave me $30K more than I paid for it 2 years ago.

yeah totally makes sense, it's probably why it took GM so long to release pricing, just waiting out for more inflation. I suppose better for GM to keep some of the margins rather than letting the greedy dealers charging 100k over MSRP take it

Very expensive (for a vette) but it's an amazing engine. It's also in phase with the still-climbing inflation...

Do you think if prices of good fall with supply chains opening up that the price of the C8Z will drop?

    Offer and demand law.

What will be the production numbers and the demand?

GM will make all they can with ability to procure components. That's a given. Demand will be there. I expect if it sells at MSRP nobody in their right mind would be spending 6 figures on the base model. I predictel that GM will not lower the price of the car even if the product pipelines open up.

No, this will be permanent. Expect 30% MSRP increases on every brand, every model permanently.

It was sort of a tongue in cheek question. No way would they ever lower the price if things open up but they will certainly raise given a chance. Can't say as I blame them.

Being ~$25k more than expected for the base (OTD) is one thing, but the packages really pissed me off.

$9k for Z07 which requires CCB. Screw you, I don't want CCB. And GM knows it. No one wanted it on the C7 and they were giving $5k rebates on $7k brake packages. So now, they wisened up and made them mandatory.

Also, the z07 package requires an 8-10k aero package that will be $2500 from the aftermarket.

    So $17-20k for Z07 + $25k more than expected.

All I wanted from the Z07 package was the stiffer springs!
Might as well just get aftermarket coil overs.

A mid level Z07 is about $145k, maybe more. I'm just not interested at those prices. It also likely means I'm not interested in the ZR1 (TTV8)
