Last night I had the evening to myself so was going to go for a ride. Then realized I still have window issues, which hopefully will be resolved soon, but instead of taking the car I want (Viper) I couldn't for fear any sudden raid hits and I flood the interior. So I took the SS, which is an absolute hoot to drive, but not like the Viper.

If this car isn't fixed soon I'm going to end up listing it when I do. This is a joke and I wasn't pissed off till I started thinking about it more and more last night, but I can't use the car how I want to. I didn't buy it to leave on the lift.

I'm with you on that, constantly having the car in the shop makes me not want to even bother

You can, theoretically (I've never done it myself) pull the switch out and then manually make the connection to get the window to go up. At least that way you have it sealed up - or I think you should be able to accomplish that. The little parts on these cars are the ones that seem the most problematic. Many of the stuff either will last forever with proper maintenance, or it's available. Things like window regulators and switches are just plain stupid. I'm almost about to go out to my car and pull the regulator just to see how it's built. I bet if they replaced the crap plastic parts with brass, it would last forever.

Maybe a group revolt aimed at current Dodge leadership is in order. They need to understand what is going on here, and how they're screwing themselves by putting a halo car down the toilet.

The button is broken and acts as if it is always in the up position. I haven't even opened the door in months because it will index down and not back up. However, the first time I do it and can use the driver door to operate the window up or down BUT it will not do it a 2nd time till the door is opened and closed.

I was debating on seeing if I could change just the button but not sure how that would work.

It's super frustrating and such crap for a vehicle like this. Sorry to rant like I have but it's ridiculous to have to park a vehicle for this long or to rig something up just to use the car. I love driving it but when I look at it I'm pissed because it's a piece of garage art at this point, at least for me.

I've had the window bosses break so changed those. The driver door regulator is broken and a new one ordered and ready to be put in. The module in the passenger door stopped working last year, now the switch broke on the passenger door. It's a joke.

I've been down this road, minus the group. Bottom line: My take after trying to get somewhere with Dodge's exec mgmt, Stellantis can care less if they piss off 3995 people out of 1.8 MM annual sales in the US. Unfortunately, they already made their decision.

There is a Gen 5 passenger side window switch on eBay but it ain't cheap $555. Says it is new.

Is @strokerace experiencing something decently common? I know there were some changes in 2015

Broken window regulators and broken bosses are very, very common. That is why it is so frustrating that they aren't available. I don't hear about window switches breaking though.

The fact that we comprise a small number of people, but a disproportionately huge amount of sales, would make me think that Stellantis would want to keep us loyal. To keep us loyal, we need to know that we trust them to take care of us after the sale. Trust is a big deal in this industry - when it is lost, it's incredibly hard to win it back.

Makes sense but I doubt it.

Agreed. I have a Ram that I love and was looking at the new Wagoneer but it chaps my ass with this experience. Just because you can afford to piss off a few people who purchased one vehicle model doesn't mean it won't carry over. Maybe I will buy a Tahoe instead. Or hell, even the Expedition. Too bad no Ford guys are on here. Hahah

The downside is that, they'll still sell every Wagoneer they can produce. It doesn't matter if they piss off 10k people.

If that is true, it's just plain wrong. The Viper was their halo car. We *were* their halo customers. Many of us have bought over $500k in FCA/Stellantis or whatever they want to be called these days. Add up the number of us who spent well into the six figures (some into the seven figures) and we're not just a blip on their balance sheet. We moved the needle for them.

I hear you, and don't disagree that it's wrong... but when it comes down to it, it is what it is.

I have guys that have spent 7 figures with me, this year. They're still affected by parts supply issues.

I avoid Dodge/FCA/etc... Unlikely to every buy another. My new HD truck is a GMC. Somehow i've ended up with all 4 "USA Carmakers'" automobiles. Although the Focus is made in Germany. Getting rid of the Focus at some point soon, and love the Viper but hate how the company treats its customers. I don't really have any loyalty to any company. If they make a car I like I might buy it. But if they treat customers like trash then I'll pass anyway. When I had a Mercedes, Audi, and Lexus I always felt like I was treated well. I'll probably avoid Ford and Dodge going forward.

The Ford Focus RS head gasket issue. They would never admit there was a problem until forum members figured it out for them and sent them all the proof. And maybe my local dealer was just bad also.
