    clunking sound in rearend

Replaced all fluids, brake, trans, and rearend. All proper fluid amounts and types. When pulling out of garage and slow turning in driveway feel a clunk when in the turn but dissapears when going straight. Is it possible modifier needs to mix more with fluid or add more. Gen 4 1:33 #20 ACR. Thanks

Did you put the modifier in BEFORE you added the fluid? Either way, if you got all of the modifier in, give it a few miles to mix in. I'm betting the noise will go away.

I changed fluid last fall put a few rides in maybe 50 miles no issue. My guess is you are right, I'm a good through mechanic and put modifier in after fluid so maybe will need more miles to mix up fliuds. thanks for your response

Modifier always goes first, but as long as the correct amount ended up in there, it shouldn't matter.

Next time, just use 3 bottles of this: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-castrol-...oaAh4oEALw_wcB

    Friction modifier already included.

Take it out to a large parking lot and do some figure 8's. That will mix it up and work it into the clutches. I always do that after changing the rear end gear oil.

I'll bet the friction modifier is fully mixed in after driving a block or two. That ring & pinion is like an eggbeater. To get it between the clutch plates just do 3-4 figure 8's in a parking lot. This method has always worked for me (non-Viper).

You can probably add additional modifier just by removing the right tire, don't have to pull the belly pan.

Fast forward to about 3:00 in this video that should provide some insight on how fast the friction modifier should have mixed:

Nice video link! Mixing thoroughly is only part of the exercise. The final piece is activating the clutch plates and friction linings by tight figure-eight driving. This allows the new mixture to flow over and through the differential components, coating them in fresh lubricant.

And what you don't see in that video is that there is a passageway, in front of the ring gear near the top. Its purpose is to channel gear oil up to the front pinion bearing. It's kind of an oil pump, using the oil that's thrown off of the ring gear. All diff's seem to have this feature.
