yesterday August 14th was the 110th birthday of the Hill climb of Ballon d'Alsace Vosges mountains east side of France, I have drove my C18 to the top...
nice sound in the forest.

René Arnoux, Justin Bell & Bertrand Balas finished 12th overall in the No 40 Dodge Viper managing 274 laps
The 41 Viper Driven by Migault / Morin / Gache managed 225 laps

As for the cars that are auctioned, please be aware of the following:
Car no 41 that is being auctioned is NOT the car that drove on Le mans. This is the parts car being offered for sale. The original one was auctioned a while back. Nevertheless a cool object, but don't expect a big return on investment if that is what you are after.
The #45 chassis is a nice car, but with a salvage history and after a little search and some calls, it could be that the engine in this car is shot. Car will need a LOT of TLC to be running again.
Just a heads up.
I would rather save some more money and buy Nadine Geary's Comp Coupe instead.

No disrespect intended, but comp coupes do not get my blood flowing as much as GTS-Rs and not looking for a BIG return on investment
Idea was to get the cars running and enter them in classic track meets for fun (not out and out serious competition).

I tottaly agree with you, but my reply was more common intended for people who are interested in the cars.
Are you going to bid on the vipers yourself? Hope you are able to get it around 25-30k or something. Few Months back a similair Viper was sold in Norway for €27k. Not too for a car like that! I can get some gtsr parts if you need them in the future

I'm flying out to Italy in the morning with a friend with intention of seriously looking / bidding at the cars IF the price is right
