Gen 4 ACR Wing fastener tools

    Hi,

I for the life of me cannot find the tool bits to remove the fasteners on a GEN 4 ACR Wing. I read somewhere a long time ago that there is a non Chrysler part.

Jon B is out of them.

Which fasteners? The ones on the top of the stanchions?

If so, it's a Torx security bit. I'm not sure on size...but any hardware store should carry a universal set of them.

On mine, the adjustable stanchions are T25 Torx security and the end plates are 4mm hex security. I already happened to have a cheap bit set with them in it before I bought my car.

A quick search found this kit, which have both....

Amazon has some similar kits too.

    Nick,

1 of the tool bits is a 6 sided security torx. the Larger one is actually 5 sided with a hole in the middle.

Yep, that 5-sided bugger is nowhere to be found. If anyone has one and wants to part with it, please let me know I'll buy it.

    Found it!

BRYCE FASTENER INC. Call them and tell them you have an ACR Viper with their security fastener on it. Part number 1GPNS25-HEX - 1/4 PENTA NUT SOCKET HEX

Hopefully one of the old timers is still there. Otherwise they will want you to order I think 100 of the screws to get the key lol.

Thank you! I'll call this week. If anyone gets information when they order on who we need to speak to or specifics, please post them.

I have one. Ordered from the people that made the fasteners for Dodge. I think it was like $55-60 shipped. Can find the name of the company if interested.

I just remember when I called the guy on the phone said “HEY (inset name here) REMEMBER THEM VIPERS WE HAD FASTENERS ON…..YEAH CAN WE SELL THE KEY…. Ok buddy we’ll send you an invoice”. I know I paid like $15 for shipping for a tiny tool since they only offered UPS business freight.

I have the pentagon tool but I still use the gator socket. The tool comes with a purchase of a new stanchion.

If it helps as a group buy or more purchases, I'll happily buy a pair as i doubt they would ship to UK??

I mean the guys are legit if your worried about that. Just going to be expensive to have them ship to the UK I’m sure.
