    Finally installed my exhuast

I've been so busy with training for my new job that I haven't had time to install my new goodies. Finally had time and I couldn't be happier with it how it sounds. I went with Belanger 3" ceramic high-flow cats and the matching catback (stock manifolds). It is definitely louder. Too loud? Ehhhhhh, I wouldn't mind if it were a tad quieter (maybe I'm just getting too old at 37, lol). The tone though....it sounds soooo good. Sounds like a hot rod now and I love all the extra popping. Looking forward to getting it back on the dyno next week to see if there were any gains.

I would guess you gained 5-10 from the swap, but it's hard to tell.

    Either way, sounds great!

That does sound good! I am not sure I could handle it that loud, but then again, I am significantly older than you.

Nice vehicle too! I love the color.

Awesome!! That's how mine sounds. Went from stock to Belanger headers, high flow cats and Borla cat back. I love it. Just gotta get it up to Elkhart, IN now for a Dyno tune and I'll be all set.

Also, my headers and exhaust was finished about a week or so ago. Since then I've noticed it sounding different than when I picked it up from the shop. Definitely more crackles and pop and it sounds like it's getting louder the more I drive it. Is this normal? Is there a break-in period for the computer to learn the new mods?

I finally installed my 2.5" version of the same exhaust last night. I fired it up in the garage. It was border line evil! Damn, it is definitely louder than stock. Sounds about 90% the same as the 3", same pops, same barks, maybe a couple of db less volume overall. It does sound GOOOOOD!

I can't wait to get my sills put back on and out on the road. In a couple of weeks they should have the gravel off the roads. Ugh, I hate winter.

I sprayed the tips black with some high temp paint. I despise all things chrome or polished.

Looks like everyone is enjoying their new exhaust. It actually sounds like a sports car now. i LOVE all the crackles and pops. I still wouldn't mind if it were a tad quieter. I don't know if I've noticed the sound change at all. I'm getting ready to take it to lunch and I can't wait. LOL It's also going back on the dyno this afternoon.

No complaints about the Belanger or service from JonB!

I put the Belanger headers, hf cats, and 3" catback exhaust on my 2005 and I quite like it. Has a bit of drone but that can be managed with gear selection to vary the rpm. It pops and crackles nicely on decel and sounds absolutely amazing above 3000 rpm when accelerating hard. The best part is that my wife hasn't gotten annoyed with it being too loud.

anyone have any experience running straight pipes on a twin turbo car? Right now my car is pretty quiet, has a twin turbo system on it and unknown mufflers. I was thinking about removing the mufflers and just running a straight 2.5" pipe. Would it cause unbearable drone? Any better options out there?
