    Prospective Owner from GA

Hello. Planning to buy a Gen III or IV Viper in the next few months. Any good resources to find out more details about each generation? Problem areas, things to look out for, etc?

Is there a central resources on shops or mechanics that do PPIs or would it be by positing in the relevant regional forum?

    Hey @lucky13.

I was a version you a few months ago...and though the journey had some super interesting twists and turns, I did find (and then purchase) a Black on Black, 2003 Gen III that just began it's hibernation period in my garage in Ohio.

I'd be happy to lend the 'lay-person' experience about this journey (of mine) thus far (772-828-0258 cell : Bill).

For the true "INSIDE" track, and hope I am not out of place to extend the thread, but had the best wading into the pond via Indy-Steve. I included his first post to me (below), and he is reachable (ONLY) over the phone.

That said, a an automobile hobbyist, I do appreciate your position*. As I do have a bit of experience as a Viper owner over the past 25 years, I will be happy to discuss with you the cars, the models, the pros and cons of the Generations, and in particular, the current market as well as the inspection/ buying process. Feel free to CALL me.

My original post can be found by searching on my name or looking for thread : *Need a collective and possible NUDGE Purchase of 1st Gen III

As everyone past and present in this Forum and beyond says...this is a remarkable community, and look forward to seeing where it all goes ahead.

Take RedDog's advice and call Indy-Steve. He was a huge help to me (and many others on this forum) when I purchased my Gen ll Viper three years ago. Walked me through it step-by-step.

Good luck with your search! Join the Georgia club once you find the right viper. We have a lot of members around Atlanta that I'm sure would be willing to help you and give you firsthand advice on specific gen 3 or 4 details.
