Gen3 window motor regulator bad

On a 2005, I think my driver side window took the dreaded regulator crap tonight. Recently I noticed it was not closing correctly when the door was closed, the window would not go under the convertible top correctly. Went through the reset procedure and it did not seem to work then, but a day or two later it started working correctly.
Tonight I rolled window all the way down...when I went to roll it up, it popped, and I felt the door panel seem to budge out a little and the window was cock-eyed.
Window only came up about 1/2 inch. Rolled it back down, and it will still only come up about 1/2 inch and looks like only one end is coming up that far.

So it is stuck down at this point.
Do I need a new regulator, and get the "fix" structure at the same time to give it some rigidity?
And is the Gen4 write up sticky the same for a Gen3?

Sound like its time. I would order the repair kit and try it first. If that dose not work get a new one and move the repair kit to it. It will last forever (new with the kit). Are you doing the work yourself? The top of the door panel is going to brake when you take it off. Good Luck.

I have the upper door panel trim if you need that. FCA discontinued it 10 years ago.

Turn around time is typically 3 days once they receive it. It was 400 last time, I had it done.

I had both of mine rebuilt at the same place Kuchavik used. Zero issues after that. Prior to that I tried the repair kit. My experience was bad with it. Hardware supplied is too short, and it did not line up well at all. After filing the bracket to get it to fit the motor, the holes for screws were so tight it cracked the plastic holes on the regulator. I threw them away and did the rebuild.

That was per side, but a new Mopar is is something like 700.
