    DBA5000 rotors with TA pads

Looks good to me. You can see the rust ring from the non TA pads. Rotors have 300 miles on them.

Why does it look like they pad is hitting the hat? The "Rust ring" will go away if you really start to use the brakes. Normal street use will not eliminate that ring.

The hat is most likely aluminum. Depending on what the pad material is, it's likely to wear the softer aluminum hat and area around the fasteners as you use them based on the image. That would be a definite NO GO for me, and likely a failure hazard over time.

If it ever makes contact I'll address it then, with a cutoff wheel.

This setup is off right now as I converted the front to ACR CCM rotors. Still working the rears.

Why not just use the correct TA rotors? They are also thicker material IIRC.

Cost and weight, Now have a low cost CCM (under 3K) solution in place.

    I'm just showing some options.

You could use a 1MM caliper spacer to move the pad to a wider arc.

That is one reason radial mounts were invented.
