Was able to find some from a dealer dated 2016 - the original (now discontinued) Mopar synthetic manual trans fluid part 04874459 (not AT+4) ... should I be worried about the shelf life or should I pass ... been sitting on the dealers shelf .. seeing all kinds of ranges on the internet. this stuff is impossible to find

I would use it. Contamination / usage is what degrades it. You have plenty of other options out there as well..
