Gen 3 Paxton Anyone Recognize Purchase Advice

New member here. I have a Gen 2 GTS and I'm wanting another Viper. After spending hours reading about Gen V engine issues I've decided to get a Gen 3 or 4. I ran across a 2006 that supposedly at some point in time posted 910 rwhp on E85. That's according a dyno sheet taken yesterday or a decade ago, no one knows. I'm hoping someone on here recognizes this car. I really want it but I have no idea who built it. Supposedly it has forged pistons but in tracking down previous dealer ads not all show forged pistons. Any advice is appreciated.

    Current ad for the car:

    Previous dealers ad:

    Another previous dealers ad:

    Video 1 current dealer:

Video 2 (Sounds kinda not as smooth as the current video):

People keep flipping them over and over as long as this madness continues. I was looking at an '06 Roadster a few weeks back, one owner, 8K miles. It was listed at $65,999. I offered $65K, which I thought they would jump at. The dealer said no, it was going to auction and they would make more money. I watched the Manheim auctions and it went for $67,500 + $1,000 buyer's fee, it then listed the same day for $71K and I believe it sold again soon after. A year ago it was a $50-55K car. So, it is definitely crazy town out there. As long as someone keeps paying, it will keep selling and at higher prices.

I have a feeling this is why the dealer gives no effs about providing information. Take it or leave it, it'll sell. I guess while the market is good that's a bit of insurance. I could just never resell something full of issues and lie through my teeth. I should feel lucky I bought my Gen 2 while the market was low.

Your analysis is probably correct. When the cash is dangling there, some people will do anything. I am not sure how long this can continue, but it's a seller's market for sure.
If you picked up the Gen 2 a couple of years ago or earlier, you definitely bought at the right time. It's double-edged sword of sorts. The market bubble is reason there are so many available. I had my pick of 5 one-owner 2004-2006 Gen 3s with less than 10K miles, as some see it is as great time to cash out.

It probably is a great time to cash out. I just don't know if the market will ever drop on these cars. I do expect the economy to drop when the fed responds to the overall inflation but I have a feeling anything with a Boxer/flat 6-V8-V10, Manual, and low volume car will be in demand as the transition not only to electric but also from hybrid, automatics, small displacement turbo engines, etc make these cars even more rare and appealing. The second muscle car era is ending and I think these cars will likely never drop below current prices. The rich are snagging up the extremely low mile original cars. When those are gone they'll snag up everything else. I could be wrong that's just my gut feeling. I will say my gut feeling on Tesla stock purchased my current Viper, pretty cool eh? lol.

I think many would agree with that. It is going to be interesting to see how it all shakes out. I sure hope you are correct about the Vipers. I gambled on that fact assumption as well.
