    My head,cammed GTS

Fired up the 97 GTS today. It's been almost a year since I drove it, been busy tracking the 2010 ACR and Z06. Driving the new Gen V too. Also been doing a lot of karting..

The GTS has Jeff Morey stage 3 ported heads. The heads were milled. Bumping up the compression a point ( 10:5 to 1).. It also has a cam.. Along with American Racing 5 into 1 stepped headers, Borla 3inch exhaust no cats.. I also did a bunch of other stuff to it. 3:33 rear gears, Tru-Trac differential, Donato built T56 with revised 5th and 6th gear.. KW coilovers, bigger brakes etc.. The car made 590+ rwhp and 566 tq on 91 pump gas.. Dan Cragin and the guys at DC Performance did all the work. The work was done quick, and very professional..

Anyhow I forgot how fun this car is to drive. It really wakes you up.. The instant power when you hit the gas.. The sound, how loud and nasty it is.. How it screams..I'm a big fan of naturally aspirated power. I gave my buddy a ride in it today.. He's a Porsche ,European car guy.. He tracks a 2011 911 GT3RS. On the ramp jumping on the freeway in 2nd gear. I punched it,and the front of the car felt like it was lifting while accelerating, and with the Tru-Trac rear differential it just goes. I was like damn I love this car..While he was grabbing on the door handle saying holy fuck..

I know my ACR and Gen V is faster on the track, but I like how the power is on my GTS. Especially how it comes on.. There's nothing like it.. It makes the other cars boring to drive on the street..

Nice, no turbo lag. Will this pass CA smog? I might see if Dan can do this to my 97 GTS. Thanks

That's a nice looking car right there. How much is it lowered, and what kind of wheels are those?

Beautiful car. I get the same excitement every time I get in my heads/cammed RT/10. Actually, I'm feeling frisky just thinking about it.

I lowered it 2 inches.. I really like the stance, and don't have any rubbing issues.. The wheels are 19inch Forgeline VR3s.. Thank you..

Wow, what an awesome GTS!!! I'm curious what tires you are running in the rear? Are they sticky enough for that power?

I have Michelin PS2 tires, but it's the Tru Trac rear differential that makes the big difference.. The car just leaps forward, badass..
