Is this a door panel defect

09 ACR. I was going to replace the door panel because I thought this was damage (maybe it still is). However, looking at a few other vipers on Ebay I'm seeing a similar thing on some of the cars.

Anyone ever see this before or have any info/ideas?

    Thanks

As I mentioned above, other examples I've seen. Sorry, you have to really zoom in on a couple to see the same issue.

I think its just a common wear point due to the grab-handle

    Mine are intact

I was thinking something similar, but all cars were low mileage.

My GEN IV has the same wear mark on the drivers side door. Probably as Jon has said…stress point from the grab handle.

I've got that too. Maybe a molding defect?

Sadly the interior on a dodge viper is about the same quality as a dodge neon

It'd easily repairable with some filler and black paint

It must be some sort of manufacturing defect.....mine has it as do so many in the exact same spot.

Thanks all. I was assuming a molding issue, but I've only seen it on the driver doors.

Have to zoom in but mine hasn’t done it… yet. Car has 29k on it. Gonna keep an eye on it from now on out though. I’m pretty gentle and cautious with everything I do with this car though because of the interior being so “fragile”.
