It's difficult to get decent mileage. lol My drive to and from work consists of some slower roads and heavily policed areas.

60 hour work weeks, 6 year old daughter, and till last week did schooling with her on the weekends and some evenings. My SS hasn't been driven since 8/1/2021. lol

I have a 14 GTS with the best ratios. When doing 80mph it's screaming over 2100rpm. I remember all my other vipers being at 1500rpm @ 80mph. Doesn't seem much different but it's huge. With the Gen2-4 gearing you'd hit 5th at 150 and even with 600rwhp it would fall flat on its face. Now...it's wants to keep pulling in 5th at that speed.

I think in 2015 the GTS and GT got the .5 OD 6th gear.

In my 2013 GTS with .63 OD 6th gear, I always felt that first to fifth gear felt too long and 6th revved too high for relaxed highway cruising.
In my 2016 GTC with the .5 OD 6th gear, first to fifth were the same, but now 6th gear would lug on the highway.
A change to 3.91 rear gears (from the stock 3.55) made all gears rev 10% higher, which feels like the best combo for me : First to fifth are now more lively and 6th gear is more usable, cruising at 80mph is right around 2000 rpm.

I wish my Viper had the transmission gearing my SS did when stock. 2.66 first gear with .5 OD.

I have the .63 6th gear trans and love it. Granted 1st gear is super long, but each subsequent gear is perfectly spaced. I think they did a great job matching up the gears with the power curve compared to some other manual trans I've lived with.

Gotta believe as more and more EVs quietly zip around the Earth the thunder of a V10 will keep the Viper going to new heights?
