Short term tax blows. GME last year is going to hit hard when I file.
What are the top Five public hammer/sales prices so far (not including charity auctions) with respect to the Viper?
Hello,
I'm new to the Viper community and boy am I glad to join.
I've been al ong time Viper Exchange customer in Houston and immediately fell in love with a Chrysler 1 of 1 custom spec'd car for their GTC program. 2016 GTC TA 2.0 featured in Highlighter which is phenomenal. It was actually housed in the showroom in Auburn Hills for a bit and is an absolute honor to have.
I paid $205k and traded my Demon towards it as I just couldn't take my eyes off of it, plus the Demon became boring to me.(My TRX runs high 9s so ots more practical).
Worth every penny to me.
Not sure how to post pics.

Is this #2 highest? All white no stripes for $309K- https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...cr-extreme-14/
I can't remember if another one went over $300K besides that $402K GTSR Vin #1 bought by a museum.
That's the only other >$300k car on BaT. Followed by these three:
$295,000 - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...cr-extreme-12/
$285,000 - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...cr-extreme-24/
$277,888 - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...cr-extreme-19/
So the DE at $299,500.00 is 3rd highest?
I was present in first person when the last Viper & last demon sold as a pair for a cool million at Barrett Jackson but not counting that or charity bids, the ACR appears to be increasing from a quarter million dollar car to a $300k one. I continue to predict that it will be the next Ford GT. It's tough to find a FGT for under 400 these days.
Well, it seems that investing in a Viper was a better idea than investing in crypto/tech...
Yup. Once they get to 1/2 mill it will be really tempting to Flip...
Had a offer on my GTS that I couldn't refuse. It was double what I paid for it. So...viper is gone and the new car will be coming Friday.
I bought a 2017 SSG #1 of 25 special edition GTC with 7000 miles, one owner...me I wonder what the monetary value of being #1 is? Everyone talks about ACR's but they made the fewest of this special edition. Anyone have a ballpark guess of the value?
I assume your comment about ACR's means that yours is not an ACR (I know they made some non-ACR SSG's in 2017). I think you're right about it being the fewest number of produced SE's.
That said, let's start off with the fact that there is an ACR-E SSG edition listed right now (with 8 miles) for $489k. That price is high right now, but I don't think it's impossible within 24 months for a wrapper car with what is one of the best color combinations ever on a Viper. I think anything over the $350k-$400k price right now is asking a bit much. But again, higher levels are coming in a big way.
A non-ACR is really quite a bit lower priced only because the ACR demand is most certainly coming because people with the sort of coin to obtain these cars like to be noticed. All Vipers are of course "noticeable" but there really is not much of anything that makes quite the "racecar" statement as an ACR. These folks (we refer to them as Dentists in my other hobbies) gladly pay for the look of that car. But without the giant wang and all the other jazz like dive planes, fender vents, CCB's, diffusers, etc. I don't know that non-ACR's are yet attracting those buyers.
But I also think one day they will because ACR's will just be unavailable. Of the non-ACR's, you have the best of the lot imo. If it went BaT or Barrett Jackson, I think it could be a $200k car. The 7k miles is a bit of a detractor though as we've seen prices being very mileage oriented. For a private sale today, I think you should expect $160k-$170k.

With recession looming, I think the price will drop significantly.
They should drop like rocks any time now...
ha, i wonder if that's the last new ACR on a showroom?
We'll see how deep it goes, but for now it's mostly only affecting lower income folks. Luxury goods seem to be holding up well, but as we go deeper into recession it could affect more and more.
LVMHF stock is down -28% in the last 6 months, despite excellent sales and profits in 2021. Not sure 2022 will be that good for luxury goods....Luxury goods seem to be holding up well
If the economic bubble bursts like I think it will, I'd bet a bottle of Chambertin that within 24 months we'll see sub-200k sales from ACR's owners in sudden need of cash. Then, like 2008-09, prices will slowly get back on track...That said, let's start off with the fact that there is an ACR-E SSG edition listed right now (with 8 miles) for $489k. That price is high right now, but I don't think it's impossible within 24 months for a wrapper car with what is one of the best color combinations ever on a Viper. The best deals I ever got were on big block Corvettes in 1972-3 during that gas shortage. Those cars went on to fetch huge prices, but 30 years later. I just spent over $500 on diesel to trailer my ACR from AZ to Nevada on its annual trek for a Nevada smog check (Nevada registration). I have done that 4 times to keep the 800+ miles per round trip off the Viper. Wonder what the dollar trade-off turns out to be - reduced Viper depreciation or fuel costs? LOL
Pappy
Been wanting a vert and if I could have gotten a medusa I would have but good luck finding that unicorn. I daily my exotics so a GT4-RS is too much for street use.
EDIT: Still will not buy a Vette. The old fart, mid life crisis and bitch-mobile stigma still can't be shaken off with the C8. I see no less than 3-5 C8's a day and they are either young idiot retards who can't figure out how to dress properly, old men 60+ or women driving them. Also...that gay-wave thing is disturbing. So for all the people that asked. Fuck no I'm not getting a vette. Sticking with hand built exotic super cars.
